Hi, I am buildinga hydraulic press and i would like a guage to tell me how much force is being exerted. Where can i find one like this?

Your hydraulic cylinder pressure gage tells you this. area x pressure = force. all you have to know with a pressure gage is the diameter of the piston. 7854Xdia. squared = area . If the piston has 10 square inches and the gage reads 250 psi. then force is 2500 psi. All you have to remember is the area of the pistonin square inches then multiply it by the pressure in the line or cylinder.

Depends on how it is to be used. A simple way would be to install a pressure transducer and a digital indicator. You should be able to program the indicator output to read out force, since the force will be proportional to the pressure.
