Sibling Rivalry? No. We are not family. Just all human.
Anyways the conflict stems from different beliefs in reglion. Different cultures DO believe that if you don't think like them or believe what they believe than you are different, therefore that cause turmoil between them. I can't say I agree but I can see how it happens.

Sibling Rivalry sounds like a good way to describe it. I personally believe that we say our hatred is based on religious reasons when it's really just a cover up for political tension.
But if you want to look at it in a religious way, Jews don't think Jesus was the Messiah so they -must- be right; Christians accept Jesus as the physical incarnation of God so they -must- be right; and Islam believes that Jesus did not die on the cross, and that Muhammad is the last prophet sent by Allah so they -must- be right.
No one can agree with another because each is equally stubborn. Each group has strong enough faith to believe that theirs is the only right view. They're all wrong. Only God knows which religion is right, so we should all love each other and hang tight til the Apocalypse shows up.

Thank God that not all of each relgion hate all of the other.
Abraham had two sons, Issac and Ismaiel. Jews & Christians are decedents of Issac. Muslims are decedents of Ismaiel. We are related, further more, we all go back to Adam and Eve, BUT what can you say to petty minds who hate for no reason. Despite the mockery and insult to Islam I see this site, I don't hold anything against a certain religion, only the person responsible. .

The problem has a touch of what you suggest.
The Jewish people are God's chosen people. The Bible calls the Jewish people the wife of God and God, being God, does not abandon His wife. The new testament says that "all Israel will be saved." This is, in a nutshell, what the coming 7 years of Tribulation Period is for---for God to win back His chosen ones. For no one enters the Kingdom of God, but through Jesus Christ.
The Christians have the Jewish Messiah, Jesus or Yesuha. In the New Testament it says that the Christians are to make the Jewish people jealous because they have the Jewish Messiah, through adoption. Sibling rivalry.
Remember back in the Old Testament, Abraham was promised by God to be made the Father of Many Nations. At this time, he and Sarah, who was approximately ninety years old, were incapable of conceiving in the natural. In fact, Sarah, laughed out loud. She looked for a solution in the natural. She told Abraham to conceive with her handmaiden, Haggar, who bore Ismael. Later, supernaturally, Sarah bore Isack. She became jealous of Haggar and Ismael and sent her and the boy off to die in the dessert. But God appeared to her and sustained her with food and drink and promised to make a great nation through Ismael. Sibling rivalry.
Amazing, but ll three religions claim Abraham as theirs.

You're right, that those three religions believe in the same god; the problem is that they don't all believe in the same truth, Jesus.
Judaism is the root of Christianity, but they reject Jesus. They're still waiting for the Messiah to come.
Christians believe in Jesus and wait for His Second Coming which is when God's Kingdom will take over the world.
Islam doesn't not believe in Jesus, but the prophet Muhommad.
So the Jews get mad at Christians because they refuse to accept Christ, as do the muslims.
There is only one Truth, and He is Jesus Christ. Once the entire world gets around to that, there will be peace.
God bless.

Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, everyone, even people with no religion, can live together in peace. It is only the Muslims who hate and want to dominate. The koran teaches the Muslims that anyone who refuses to accept Muhammad as the prophet does not deserve to live and will only be subjected to 2nd class citizenship if they are allowed to live. I don't hate Mulsims as people, just their ideology that the whole world must be their way, that nothing else is acceptable. This is why the whole world is at war right now. Think about it.

It appears to me religion has harmed us more than it has helped us.Thank God for science and technology. People are getting out of the stranglehold of religion and have begun to raise questions there by diluting the beliefs to some extent. To my mind Islam is in a hot spot. Some Muslim clerics are spreading hatred through their teachings. This has given rise to the scourge of suicide bombings and death of innocents. We should also not forget the exploitation of the east as whole by Western nations during the colonial era. Although the wounds have healed the scars are still there to see. Only God knows when we shall have religion and its teachings restored to its past, pristine glory when it saved and helped you to lead a peaceful life.

Siblings don't usually blow themselves up to kill their brothers and sisters. It's actually ego and ignorance, I think, that makes one religion hate another. It's funny, in a sad way, how similar Judaism and Islam are to each other. And Jesus, of course, was Jewish. So why is there hatred? The human factor. We can only try to be perfect, as I mentioned to you yesterday--and that's really pretty good. We need to always try or strive.
