I seriously think i'ts gonna be during my lifetime. Didn't God say he would be back in 2 days? 2 days to God is 1000 years to us. Well, it's year 2006 and nothing's happened. But, catch this, next year is 2007, and the calendar supposedly started when Jesus died. The thing is, though, that it was started 7 years early. This would make next year the true year 2000. Kinda scary. Makes you think, "if all this is true, then who would the Antichrist be? I dunno, but it keeps me up at night sometimes. Add anything you think.

No one knows the day or the hour in which our Lord will return, that would also include the year since the Bible says he will return as a thief in the night. No one knows when the thief breaks in or you would be prepared. That is why you should keep awake, in the other words always be prepared. The end of the world is something true Christians look forward to as it means the end of all wickedness and a wonderful new system of things where righteousness will dwell, everlasting life, and no more problems. Only those who do not serve God or are serving false religion have anything to fear.

I agree with you about people being annoyingly rude and I don't
think u r the least bit insane. I think you are wonderful and pure,
and I wish I had a friend like you that I could talk to about Jesus
without feeling uncomfortable.
I believe in God and I've been thinking its gonna be in my
lifetime too. I have never heard of that time thing you just
mentioned, but I think its cool! Yah, sometimes I wonder if the
antichrist is ever gonna actually meet me or something. But I
trust that I'm gonna go to heaven when the world ends cuz I've
accepted Jesus into my life. I hope you have too. You seem like
a really nice person, and I think God is very proud of you.

Well , the Christian book of Revelations is nothing but bullsh*t. Ragnarök on the other hand will come someday, an we know when its just about here. First it will be preceded by war throughout the world (a final world war, and this time everyone will fight everyone), great battles would be fought; all taboos would be broken, brothers killing one another, and sons would murder their fathers too, mostly out of greed. No kinship would be sacred. This period would be known as the age of axes, age of swords, age of wolves and age of winds. Next comes the Fimbulwinter, the winter of winters in which snow will cover all corners of the earth, bitter winds will blow , and the sun and stars will be blocked from the sky . Three successive winters will follow each other with no summer in between. This is what I believe will happen
Ragnarök is not a moral conflict between dualistic notions of good and evil like the Christian notion of Armageddon, but rather the result of extended, intricate conflict between the Ãsir gods( forces of Order) and those allied with the giants( forces of Chaos). These two events also differ in that after Ragnarök, both sides will be ultimately eviscerated, making way for a cyclic rebirth - whereas in the Book of Revelation, (which is crap) the Christian god is clearly victorious over the forces of Christian god of evil,Satan.

Ignore the rude people, sweetheart. There are many mockers and scoffers. I'm with you. I believe that it's going to be in our lifetime. I hope to God it is because the world we live in is going insane. Jesus is our only hope. As far as the AntiChrist and all that is concerned, I think about it too. I believe that the Islamic Mahdi will be the AntiChrist. The parallels between the biblical AntiChrist and the Mahdi are frightening.

The world will end from a giant meteor hitting it or from the sun going supernova or from nuclear warfare or some destructive force like that. Do you have any idea how many religions have predicted the end of the world in the past and yet we're still here? What makes christianity different?

Don't be afraid... if you are a Christian, you won't be here when the world ends. Before the world ends, Jesus will come back to take all the born again believers with him in the great catching away. You can read this in first Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse 17. Study the whole chapter, it will give you many answers if you ask God to help you understand it.

OK, when I was younger I used to worry about it too and wasted a lot of time and made some bad decisions because I thought it wouldn't matter since the world was going to end anyway. Well, I'm still here. I think?
Focus on your life and try not to let yourself be distracted by worry, especially about things where you have no influence. That is just wasted energy.

The world is going to keep on a chugging along. Just because some unwashed men in bath robes decided to scare idiots into submission way back when doesn't mean anything. Religion is not proven in fact. All it is is a belief structure meant to scare and control small minded people.

get yourself a cardboard sign and spread your message from the street corner--I sincerely hope you are right, I can't wait for the end of the world, but I don't remember god telling anybody he'd be back in 2 days or telling anybody how long a day was to him, so your theory makes no sense--good luck with that!
and the antichrist is George W. Bush, and you probably voted for him
