My sideswepts have grown out and I want them again and I don't really want to go to a salon and pay like $15 for them to just trim my bangs. Should I cut them myself?

I tried to cut my own side-swept bangs, and I thought they looked just fine. My mom wanted to go get them cut by a professional, but I liked the way I did it better. Probably because I know what I want, and it's hard for me to explain to people exactly what I want. Just be sure not to cut them too short your first time cutting them, that way, if you don't like it, you can always pin em back with bobby pins.

I do my own hair all the time so I guess it depends on if you are good with stuff like this. I recently cut side swept bangs and I think they are cute BUT first of all if you have never cut hair don't try lift them up and cut because this can result in gaps if you are not experienced. Just pull them down and ALWAYS start out cutting them longer than you would want, to leave room for mistakes so they can be fixed.

You can cut them yourself. Just cut only a 1/4 inch in the same direction that they were. I cut mine all the time myself and they are just like what a salon would do. Use a sharp pair of scissors though.

No, don't do it yourself. Most salons will only charge for a bang trim, which is much less than a haircut (for something so simple, you could even go to a cheap walk-in salon).

u dont have to go to a salon, but dont do it urself.
get ur mom or aunt or friend (a trustworthy one) to do it instead.
