Listen... You are doing great! Dont change a thing!! The only people who will tell you things like"your on your way" are crazy weak minded sheep christians. You are not on your way you are there! You dont need a religion to believe in a god. all religion does is control mind and subjegate people into a unrational faithbased thought process. God gave you your abilities of critical thought and common sense! NEVER stop using them, especially in exchange for a faith based belief system!!! God loves us all! Even the ones who dont go to church and act holier than thou!!1 They are just sheep kepping the perverted preacher stocked up with pockets full of loot, to pay for his hookers, gambling, beach house, cadillac, and the occasional young boy to fondle!!!
You are there, God is with you, you need look no further!!!

Most people believe in "a" god. You say you have no religion, but believeing in god is a religion, but which one? Well all religions in the world can be divided into 2 groups.

Every other religion other than Christianity is on the left, Mormonism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, whatever "ism", and Christianity is on the right. All the ones on the left make 2 distinctive claims, (a) Jesus is not God, or he is not the only God. He may be a great prophet, teacher, good man, but not the Messiah. (b) If you do enough good works, such as good deeds, you will receive some sort of salvation.

Christianity claims that Jesus is God, that God has come to us in Jesus who lived, died on the cross, and rose from the grave that we may have eteranl life.

You just need to decide which religion you need to belong to.

So, are you going the wrong way? Just making a statement that you believe in God is not enough, you need a to know why you believe in God, and which God.

So, it depends on the religion you choose. In my studies the religions on the left are not factual, or historical, and is some cases just made up.

There is overwhelming evidence that points to Christianity, but that could take a while to go over. But if you have any questions, just drop me a note.

WHAT do you believe about God? If you think God is love and you live a life trying to bring that love to all you meet then you are on the right path. All/any religions have one basic thing in common with each other and that is community. It is within a faith community that you experience the power of prayer, the power of forgiveness, the power that comes from being with people of like mindedness and striving for the same thing,
So if you believe in God and the love that comes from God to you in the form of grace then - as you learn more about God and how he walks with you in this life- it stands to reason that somewhere down the road you would choose to align yourself with a faith tradition that is similar to your own belief system.
All this to say your path is your path. Just don't tie yourself into completly ruling out a religious path somewhere down the road. When you have children it becomes almost necessary to align yourself with a faith tradition. Kids tend to ask you questions that are difficult to answer and a church, Temple, mosque -(your preference) can be so helpful. Know that there is a world of difference between religion and spirituality. Religion is made of up rules that support a belief system. Spirituality is the essence of who you are.We are ALL spiritual people. Not all of us have aligned with a religion!

I don't believe that you are wrong. I believe that all people should research & develop their own beliefs & find what is "right" for them.
I believe in God, too, but have found that my beliefs are not specific to one religion. It seems I have taken little bits & pieces from different ones & created my own belief system. For instance, I believe in Jesus & His teachings about love & non-judgement, but I don't believe that He is the only way for all people. I believe that there are many religions, because just one will not meet the needs of all people. I have tried many different churches trying to find fellowship, which I think is important, but there's always something that divides & seperates them from the others & that is the main thing I don't like. I want something that brings us together & doesn't seperate us. I tend to lean more toward the earth based beliefs, like native american & paganism. But they still don't fill all of the needs. The people that I have met in these religions seem to be more tolerant toward the differences we as humans have.
I think that some sort of fellowship is important, tho.
I, personally need people I can call sometimes when my world seems like it is crashing in on me.
I think that is part of our make up, tho, needing others. Feeling that we are not alone.

No you aren't wrong. In fact I am about the same. I believe in god to a point, but I don't believe in religion. I think you can be able to believe in what you want and do it where you want. You shouldn't have to be a member of an organized religion just to have faith and beliefs.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. I am a spiritual person, not a religious person. The difference? Religion is a belief vs Spirituality - knowing. However, I believe that there is a place on this earth for all religions. Each one is to put people closer to being on their path to knowing God. It is one thing to know about God, it is another to know God.

If you believe in God especially if you are religious, you know that he is "everywhere". You can connect with him/her outside, on a train, plane, car, etc. Anyone who tells you you can't, is a hippocrit. God wants the connection with you, not necessarily your attendance at a church, synagogue, etc. God wants your love. You love God best when you love others (strangers).

Trust that you are loved and that you are a Spirit with a body, not a body with a Spirit.

I hope that this helps.

Not at all , I feel the same i mean i ´m in the same case !Nowadays religions and i think it has always been like that dont try to understand the human being like he really is , don ´t try to to teach the true values or even the values are honorable the employed methods are against life .You have been deceived from religious authorities but dont forget that they don´t influence your relationship with God , i mean its only between you andHim and nothing that people may do or say will never destroy this bond if your sincere .I mean you have just to look around you to see he´´s work and his presence , unfortunately some of us just try to satisfy their power desires and corrupt what He does .Dont loose your faith , but stay objective and dont take for granted all what religious authorities may say JUST listen to your heart and try to be fair !

1.Religions are means to reach GOD.just like transportation to a destination.
your DESTINATION is GOD.(there many ways to rome).

2.By following a religion,...u r suppose to be guided right to GOD.

3.If u believe in GOD and u want to find the way by ur self,...u MIGHT FIND,...or U MIGHT LOST.(say u want to go to rome,..but end up in baghdad)

4.The best way,..u choose a religion that ur HEART FEEL RIGHT with it,....and then try to FOCUS TO GOD....and FIND HIM.

Believe me,..by being fanatics,...will never bring u close to GOD,..it is maybe closer to ur ego.

I dont think your wrong at all... I think we all have our own interpration of religion and the bible, some just have a title to it... there is so much that I can take from each religion and apply to my life and my own believe, but really it is between you and God... No title is needed and no church is needed for you to carry your own religion and your own interpratation... I think what is wrong is not living what you believe and what God would want for us... so... no I dont feel you are wrong at all...
