I am speaking of the energy within us. How do I find the teacher that can help me that is not connected with the commerializm of the New Age. I have run into the wrong one so I am twice shy now.

You (the deeper part of you) are the only true teacher you will need; that is how and why you chose to ask this question in this place. Intuitively, you know what you need.

So in that sense, you have found your teacher...we are all teachers, and we are all students.

start with books that seem appropriate; feed the student within you.

read about several differnet paths; compare and contrast them. you might find 75 percent of one useless, but glean from the other 25 percent. mix and match.

fond an outlet to discuss your search; whether a local group not aligned with a single dogma, or else on-line.

and when the student is ready, the master will appear.

How?

Well, you'll be surprised how much you can learn from yourself and from books.

I suggest you go out and by some books on meditation, you can find some GREAT Spirit Guides that'll help you.

Avoid Sylvia Brown and Ravenwolf like the plague, and you'll be fine.

don't try. give yourself opportunitys to find it, and listen to them when they come.

one thing I do that you could say is along this line, is theres this little old used book store that I really like, every time I'm near it with a little bit of time, I stop in and look over their spiritual books section, once in a while a book particularly attracts my attention. I usually have just enough money to spare for it too.

don't try to force it. just meditate, read what you can, and let it find you.

I too, think meditation is your way. It will teach you to be still in your mind where you will be quiet to receive knowing that comes from within. You will understand the "ah-ha" experience, which is very exciting! You will come to know yourself and you will come to know 'your" God. You won't need to go very far for any of your answers. They are all there, waiting to unfold. The greatest journey in life is the journey to oneself, for it is there that you will become ONE with your creator. Be STILL.
