I have a ton of homework every night this year and i've also joined student council and spanish club this year. I'm on a hardcore soccer team and i usually have four 2hour practices a week, plus games. I work on all Saturday, and a little on the weekdays too. I'm also taking a tennis class. I'm having trouble keeping up with all these things and i haven't had any time to hang out with friends. I'm also not getting a lot of sleep. Giving up any of these activities is NOT an option. I need to get into colledge, and i need to be able to pay for it, so i need my job. Any advice on how to manage my schedule?

No college needs you to have tennis so I would say hold off on the tennis lessons. Do your homework during your lunch at school or see if you can bring some it to work and do it on your break. If you can't manage it then you are going to have to give up something.

If you can't figure out, I don't know how you'll deal in college. The homework is loads and if you play a varsity sport, there goes more of your time. You need better time management skills if you can't deal with it in highschool

honestly I would suggest that you find a way to drop something to give you more time to sleep and rest. If you dont rest, your performance in all these activities will suffer.
I am a perfectionist/overachiever like you , im 29 and Ive discovered that I need to sleep more. Ive been sleeping 5 hours a day for years, and Ive recently changed my life in order to get AT LEAST 7 hours(but preferrably 8). You can be more successful in life if you dont pile so much on yourself.

You'll get into college without all that crap. You really aren't impressing anyone who understands the scam.

Prioritize your needs & interests and cut back. That's the answer even if it is not the answer you want. Nobody gets to do everything they want all of the time.

You might also look into counseling and anxiety medication. You're going to have a nervous breakdown before you turn 20. Jeez kid, lighten up and relax.

i'm sorry, but it's so sad how some young people overload themselves just to look good on college applications. if you need sleep, then you HAVE to give up one of your activities. you say it's not an option, but honey, there are only so many hours in the day. when you fall asleep at the wheel (if you drive) and kill someone crossing the street, college won't look quite so important. if you need to do all of these things for college, why don't you look into a less competetive school? good heavens you need some sleep!

Sorry, you're just taking on too much.
there are only 24 hours in a day and short of asking for more hours in a day i don't know what you can do!!!
but if you don't stop you're going to burn out and the consequences will be worse than not taking tennis class!

good luck!

Lose your activities, or learn to deal with a small amount of sleep. Honestly, everyone on Earth has the same amount each day, and people do incredible things. Stop being a slave to the man!

Drop the sports and take up spelling. No college will take you in if you say "I want to be in your colledge, and I do extracuruculur activities"
