Actually insuring a car that is new and has four doors. Airbags are usually standard in newer cars. Any other options such anti-lock brakes and traction control will also help lower the insurance rate. Also, many insurance companies offer additional rate reducers, such as good grades and no accidents. Ask about these when you are applying for insurance.

The answr lies within your question. The cheapest car to Insure is the one that can be totalled and replaced with the minimum amount of money. The rates depend upon your age and the cost of replacement of your car.

Old cars that you dont put collision on. Never consider a new car for a teen. Insurance will be crazy, car payments will be high, and just so he/she can drive a mile to school every day.
