Your best bet is to go to the salon and ask for a Malibu treatment. It is completely natural (NO chemicals or dyes--AND IT'S NON-DRYING--unlike lemon juice or sun-in). They will sit you under the dryer for about 20 minutes and it will suck all of the impurities out of your hair (well water, chlorine, excess dye). It will lighten you up a bit (especially the ends).

Go to a sally's beauty supply house (look on the internet to see if you have one in your area). They carry a prouduct that will lighten your hair just one shade lighter. Or you could take the proxide that comes with the hair dye in a box and mix that with your shampoo and let it sit on there for five to ten minutes and rinse out several times. it should get some of that excess color out. Actually the more you wash your hair the lighter it will get faster. Hope I've helped.

Pour lemon juice on it and sit out in the sun. It kind of hardens your hair when you pour it on, but as soon as you wash it off its ok.
