Girl go! Believe me, you'll know if you're having a baby, and a due date is only an estimate not a guarantee day, the baby chooses it's birthday because it's still unknown as to what triggers labor.

contractions, and im not talking about full blown labor contractions, to prepare your body for delivery, usually take several days, especially if this is your first baby. i would say that if your feeling just fine the day of the party, and your contractions havent started, then go and have a good time. but make sure you know where a hospital is, and have your information for Doc, med. history exc, just in case. good luck and Congrats!

I wouldnt..send the gift a little earlier. You wouldnt want to go into labor at the shower and be so far from your dr or worse go in loabor while driving..
I'd stay close to home the closer you get.

Has your pregnancy been healthy? If so, then there is no reason not to go. Also, is this your first? If it is, almost 90% of first pregnancies go into labor after their due date.

is this your first baby? what does your doc say? As long as you arne't in labor the day of the 4th, i would think you would be fine in going. Just make sure you always carry your docs number with you just in case!

yea you should go..but u should prepare for the worst if you do.Like for instance, you should find the fastest route there and back, and be prepared if the baby decides to come anyway. Best of luck to u and the newborn.

Make sure someone else drives. If you feel one twinge of pain or tightness (or your water breaks) leave immediately. If this is your first you should have plenty of time to make it back. First births usually have the longest labor.
