It's likely that she ran away to have the kittens. Keep up what you've been doing (calling local vets and shelters, putting up posters, talking to neighbors, etc.). You should be able to leave a picture of her at vet offices and shelters.

Try looking under things....like houses, dumpsters, etc. She will try her hardest to hide the kittens to keep them safe.

If she does return (I'm not saying she won't, nor that she will....it all depends), have her microchipped and spayed.

Good luck!

Many cats during their pregnancy are looking for a dark quiet place to give birth. That's why so many kittens are found in sewers, under decks, and nooks and crannies that no one would expect. It is a big possibility that the cat may return before or after the birth of the kittens. If that happens, it is because she has found her spot and is in need of food. I'd keep a dish outside of your house and keep an eye out for your cat. If she comes by, follow her at a good distance to see where she is birthing the kittens. Remember you don't want to scare her and have her hurt the kittens which she may do unintentionally thinking she's protecting them. Once you know where everyone is, if there in a dangerous spot like a sewer, call animal control, if they're in an easily accessible area, get a few friends together and coax the mother out with food. Once mom's out and caught, go in and get the babies. It's important that the family goes to the vet. Since the mom has been outdoors, there's a possibility that she may have contracted worms or a virus and passed them on to the babies.
Be patient, keep in touch with the shelters and the vets, and the people in your neighborhood. It's important that you mention the kittens and whether or not the mom is declawed. She may not come back and be prepared for that, but there is a high chance she's so close to the birth that she'll be in search of food soon.
good luck!

Depending on where you live, if the weather is still nice and warm, many cats like to find a nice quiet, warm place to have their babies. If there is alot of commotion in the house or the cat is worried about being bothered by any particular individual it may have done that. Usually but not always they will stay close but will be very hard to find, especially if she has had the kittens she wont leave them very much so you wont have amny chances to find her. Once the kittens are old enough she may or may not lead them home. It all depends on the cat. Hopefully that is what she has done and all will be well soon.
For now look for any dark, warm hiding places like anywhere she might be able to get under a house, a porch, or in a crawl space. Even in cold weather crawl spaces can stay relitively warm.
This is just my experience from being around many litters of outdoor cats on our old farm.

If it was close to giving birth, it ran out to find a quiet place to have the babies. She will probably bring them back in about 6 weeks. However it's winter. You need to look under the house and in small places the cat would think is secure. When it does come back, you need to have her fixed. Cats can get pregnant again after 4 weeks. With the cat overpopulation, it's not fair to them.

Cats looks for specific places to give birth if she does not find the conditions she need at your place, she will look else where.
They need a quite place, dark, small, cozy, warm and away from people (they don't like their kittens be touched by humans, if that happens they wont be able to recognize their smell and they wont accept the kittens anymore).

She may return sometime after she gives birth. It is better if you continue looking for her and prepare a space for her or take her to the vet he will know better what to do.

Hope u find her, Good luck!!!

they always come back. when i was a kid, my dad took our cat to a farm 2 towns away. we all hated him for that. 2 month later my mom and dad are sitting in the living room and my mom was telling my dad someone is knocking at the door. he's telling her no ones there and he finally got up to show her and opened the door. as soon as he did our cat came running in the house as fast as lightening. 16 years later he died of natural causes. so don't give up hope...she knows where home is and will be back. good luck.

We had a cat who disappeared and we had given up hope. Then he surfaced two weeks later. So don't give up, but try putting up signs in the neighborhood, and maybe leave some food outside your door.

She is probably nesting, finding a place to have her kittens. I would put up signs in the neighborhood, and keep checking around, she may re-surface.

She more than likely went somewhere to have her babies. Keep looking for her and calling her, and post pictures of her. She might come back.

Good luck!
