I have a really close guy friend and he's really sweet and cute. he's actually kinda hot, but he's short. about 5ft. i guess u could blame it on puberty but we're getting a little old 4 that. unfortunately i think he's always gonna be pretty short. his 17yr old sister is only like 5'2" and his other sister... whos a year older than us is shorter than him. we're almost 15. is he always gonna be short?

I don't like him as anything more than a friend, so i'm fine w/ his height. its just he's upset about the girl he didn't get. he thinks its because the guy who did get her is like 6ft.

Explain to him that phyiscal features shouldnt be important in a realtionship & that the right girl will accept him for being short & in the long run it wont even matter. Try helping him point out his good qualities to help boost his self esteem :]

Sure he can grow taller. men don't necessarily stop maturing physically, just because the obvious signs of puberty have ended. I had a friend that was 18 and a senior in highschool, and was 5'6". his freshman year of college, he grew to about 6ft 1. growth spurts can occur even later than that! if he's still that height at 20, i'd start to worry.

My brother was a scrawny little 5'3" when he left for college and by the end of his sophomore year, he was 6'3" and husky. It's really hard to say whether your friend will grow or not. You mentioned that his sisters are short. Well, I'm 5'2" and my sister is 5'0" -- that had no effect on my brother.

Only time will tell.

He still has a few years left to grow some more. But he will probably never be say, a Michael Jordan.

As for the girl, he's probably better off without her if all she is truly looking at is how tall a guy is.

Good luck to your friend!
