there are lots of things that cause fatigue. caffeine (energy drinks) will not help. even if you are getting enough sleep, there could be a sleep disturbance that is preventing you from getting the deep restful sleep your body needs to feel rested. you could be anemic or have a thyroid problem. check your diet to make sure you are getting enough protein and not too much sugar.
the only way to know for sure is to see your doctor and get some blood work done.

Does this affect you more during certain times of the year or during certain times in your menstrual cycle? Is there a chance you could be pregnant? How long has this been going on for?
Energy drinks are not the answer. Your body has to leach vital nutrients out of its cells in order to process the "refined" sugars in them because they are not a whole food.
The caffeine is bad for you. It depletes your adrenal glands. Consuming caffeine can affect your quality of sleep for at least 3 days after. You may sleep, but it wouldn't be QUALITY sleep.
There are too many variables with herbs and the reactions your body can have to them.
I had the same problem you have. It turned out, I wasn't absorbing enough nutrients from my food due to a food allergy I had. I was tired due to the nutrient deficiencies. Specifically, cholesterols and B vitamins, but many others also.
There are SO many things that can cause a person to be tired like this. It COULD be a serious medical condition. It could be mono. It could just be your diet. It could be an allergy of some kind. It could be a yeast condition in your intestines.
What I would do if I was you is to get a THOROUGH check up at a good doctor’s office. Full blood work ups and all. Make sure it's nothing serious.
Most doctors don't really take the time to listen to and evaluate their patients. If you really want to take an active role in resolving this, start a health & diet log. Write down what you eat and drink throughout the day & how you feel at different times of the day physically, emotionally & in any other way you can think of. Write down the times you went to sleep, how long you slept for. How rested to feel. Write down your exercise. What kind you did, for how long, how you felt before, during and after.
Having this information going into a checkup can be really valuable. You may notice patterns in your condition that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. They may be related to the foods you ate, the time of day, the time of year, the time in your menstrual cycle, the kinds of activities you have or have not been doing.
I'd also eliminate any habits that I had that can contribute to the situation. This means not doing drugs, legal or illegal if you do them; Removing all caffeine and refined sugars from your diet; Eating well balanced meals throughout the day. Having an apple can work better for energy than having an energy drink. Try it =) Start taking a good multivitamin if you don't already do so. Drink lots of water.
I know it sounds weird, but exercising can actually give you more energy. It gets your body used to being awake and active. It can also flush out a lot of toxins which could be contributing to your condition.
Doctors can help with surgeries and medication prescriptions if they are needed, but your day to day health is ultimately in your hands. Take good care of yourself.
If a doctor finds nothing wrong with you, and you've implemented these suggestions, and you are still having this problem, you may want to try a nutritionist, or a naturopath, or an acupuncturist. A lot of times those people can help in situations where regular doctors fall short.

Try eating healther foods - energy drinks & other caffinated beverages will give you a small high but in the long run they just bring you down even more. Fruits & healther snacks should help you . Also - try exercising sometimes you arent using the energy you have which makes you feel more tired -

Have you had your doctor test your iron levels? I had very low iron and I wanted to sleep all the time! My monthly was extremely heavy and painful and I finally couldn't handle it anymore. I went to see my doc, he put my on iron supplements and within about a week I could feel the difference. The sooner you see your doctor, the sooner you find out what the problem may be! Good luck :)

Have your thyroid checked, I have hypothyroidism, and if I don't take my pills my energy level plummets, no matter how much sleep I get. I was diagnosed when I was 21. I have to agree it is frustrating!

Like Smartalec said, diabetes is a possible culprit. But there are others such as thyroid conditions. Also, how well do you actually rest while you're sleeping? Is it possible you have sleep apnea?

Get regular with the vitamins. Your lacking some, probably iron but take a good multi-vitamin everyday.

maybe you have mono? it's actual name is mononucleosis, and the symptoms are fatigue, headache, sore throat, chills/fever, and muscle ache.
