A friend of mine gave me food for thought yesterday when she posed a question.
No matter how evil man is,when that person gets to heaven they MUST become pure again. If they did not then God himself would have failed because God is pure.Could this be possible and therefore where does Hell and redemption fit into this?

Some time ago, by gleaning all that is known, I put god through a psychometric test.
The results showed that :
1. He had a severe personality disorder.
2. Is a dangerous threat to the public.
3. Should never be trusted.
4. Most certainly, never be challenged.
5. That he would kill just to prove a point.

God is all knowing and all seeing and can never fail. It is us that fails God not the other way around. We fail God by disbelief and disobience. The good news is that God wants all of us to be at His side when we cross over. So He gives us every chance He can to get it right. Getting it right is not a hard thing. We must first of all believe that Jesus is the Son of God. That is why we are called, "CHRISTians". Second we must ask God to forgive our sins. Then we go forth through life trying to be the best person we can. We don't have to be pure. That is ridiculous. Everyone sins in some way daily. Only God is perfect and only God can gives us perfect love.

To get to Heaven you must give your life to Jesus first, and repent of the wrongs you have done and live your life for Jesus, then you will go to Heaven, If you do that God will look after you, God does not fail anyone who is honest with Him

We are becoming pure through Jesus. He's blood cleansed us from all our sins, but we have to believe in that. If you believe, you are prepared to step into God's presence, if you don't believe in that, a place in Hell is waiting for you, although God doesn't want anybody to perish, Jesus was sent for everyone of us.

In a way she is correct since there are many stages during death. This 'uniting with God' is a valid description for one phase. So is hell.

Neither are eternal though (unless you have become enlightened, then you could describe this as permanently 'uniting with God'), but for most of us these are dreamlike phases of your consciousness before you are reborn. There are many other phases, but these are good descriptions for two of them.

Jesus said that only what comes out of a person is impure! Meaning bad words, evil things we all do and think. He also said that with his blood we are all purified if we accept he died for us and choose to follow him.

Purity is something many religions worry about, ritual washing, ritual killing and preparation of meat. Jesus said that what we put into our bodies does not make us unclean only what comes out. Therfore Christians do not worry about ritual washing etc.

We are purified through Christ.

God is perfect.

Nobody gets into Heaven without being forgiven of their sins.

Think about this:

If God failed, then God would not be perfect. If God wasn't perfect, God wouldn't be God. If God wasn't God, then God wouldn't exist.

i'll take it a step further. if "God" is omnipresent then "God" is present within everyone (perhaps as what folks call "soul") and for "God" to condemn any soul to eternal torture is to condemn a portion of the divine Selfhood to eternal torture. this implies that "God", the Supreme Being, is so full of Self loathing that "God" would suffer agony forever for the sake of revenge against some portion of The Self.
