I bought this Thermo Ceramic Straightener last year, just because I wanted something "like" GHD, but for cheaper as I didn't want to pay so much.
The trouble is, that because this straightener was at first kind of ok, but after a few times of usage it doesn't do much at all.....so the result is that now I have to go and buy a GHD one, because I won't put up with any cheap imitation anymore and am a bit upset with myself for not getting the GHD in the first place - because like this I have ended up paying even more.

RE:
What straightners are as good as GHD's but cheaper?
I have stupidly silly curly hair and GHD's are the only straighteners that keep it straight all day (with others it gets kinky and curly again quite fast) but i cant afford them Are there others that are as good (or better) but cheaper?

After my daughters GHD's broke, she bought straightners by Tresemme, they are really good and unlike GHD's you can set the temp on them, not just by hot, warm, cool, but by degrees

I also have very curly/frizzy hair.
Before I dry my hair I use 'frizz-ease' emergency treatment by John Freida, its great for controlling curly hair.
Then I bow dry and use normal hair straighteners, it works for me.
