Dark circles under the eyes are common but usually not permanent. They're often due to temporary changes in the blood vessels under the eyes. Fatigue usually doesn't play a role. Sometimes under-eye darkening is the result of a chronic skin condition such as atopic eczema. This is more noticeable in people with darker skin. Under-eye circles can also run in families.

Over-the-counter products may help diminish under-eye circles. Look for skin creams that contain vitamin C or K, alpha hydroxy acid and kinetin. Treatment for chronic and severe under-eye circles is directed at the underlying cause if known and may include bleaching agents and laser therapy.

this can be related to number of things ..IE it can be due to being on medication or having an illness ..lack of oxygen ,dehydrated ..i have this myself Ive had it all my life but mine is due to illness and medication i just disguise mine with a light purple corrective stick ...purple covers dark shades and green covers redness .. blend in well put your concealer on then foundation and seal it with translucent powder once you have all this done with your cheeks lips and eye s done you should look good remember you don't have to plaster any of the above on your face..less is more and you still get a natural coverage
good luck hope you find this helpful

I have this problem, too. The only thing that I have found to help is concealer and a good bronzer. I tried the eye cream that is made to help dark circles and it BURNED my skin! Stay away from that!

I guess it really depends on your skin tone, but you could try putting a yellowish color makeup just under the eye area, and then put on a foundation that will even out your skin tone before you put on the rest of your makeup.
