what i don't understand is why it bothers you? i even know folks who have the money and dont like to pay them....but anyway...what difference is it to you? is this just giving you a reason to brag about your money issue?
oh and one more thing....my chemotherapy cost 65,000 dollars for 48 weeks....so i have every right to bit-ch about my bills dear....go without electricity? i think your lightbulb is OUT!
oh and by the way? this is not an etiquette question...it's just a rude one!

People complain because medical care, even if it's crappy, costs way too much, and a lot of people just plain and simple don't have money to burn. You can't just skip a bill to pay for the doctor's bill! If you don't have tv then that's fine, no big deal, but you can't expect a person to go without electricity... people still have to cook, have light to do their homework or whatever, and keep the heat on. You just don't get it! People really have trouble with this sort of thing, and medical care is a basic human right that people shouldn't have to compromise other basic things to get. Sheesh indeed.

Wow, hopefully you do not get sick. IF you ever rack up a $4,000 medical bill and do not have all the money to pay, which are you going to pay first, a few hundred on a medical bill or pay rent so you have shelter, buy food so you can eat or what? Use common sense! Just because you have not gone through something does not mean you can think about what it would be like. I can only imagine with kids or serious/terminal illness how hard it would be. What if you had cancer and lost your job bc you were too sick to work or missed too many days? There are lot of possibilities. Hell, and in the colder states you will freeze to death without electricity!

For those of us who don't smoke and don't drink and don't have TV and still can't pay a medical bill, what do you suggest we cut out? If I go to a doctor, I am really, really sick because I have no medical insurance and I know I'm going to have to skip food or sell something to pay that bill. If the doc can't give free medications, I usually end up getting just half the prescription.
For the working poor, going to the doctor is NOT a joke. It's not something to be treated lightly by people who do have medical insurance and money.

I hope you never have to choose between paying your electric bill or visiting the doctor. A better question is why should people have to make that choice? What about our senior citizens that have to choose between groceries or medication? If your so well off and the thought of all of this annoys you so much, why don't you find a needy family and help out? Get a clue! Sheesh!!!

Have you ever been faced with a devastating illness or accident that ran up a quarter of a million or more in hospital bills and not have insurance? The reason you didn't have insurance was because where you live they pay minimum wage or just a little bit more than minimum and do not offer insurance coverage. Also the cost of insurance for you alone (not including your family members) is more money than you make in a month. Obviously not....

The medical field is overly high priced. i've got considered the ineffeciency, incompetence & overlook. They invoice you after which you are able to desire to dispute costs - that they cleverly code with numbers, merely like vehicle mechanics - just to get the invoice further right down to what they actually accomplished. As for coverage companies, nicely i think there is not any might desire to whinge, as quickly as you comprehend that they are basically a corporation attempting to make a earnings. they at the instant are not a philanthropic beginning.

why are some rich people so snobby and ignorant and think that a medical bill would be more important to a person who can barely pay any of their bills let alone have one of their utilities shut off just to pay a medical bill and then have the money to pay the reconection fee?

until your in their shoes, deciding weither to pay the electric bill so you can cook a meal for your children, or paying a medical bill, you really have no right to complain. have you ever gone without electricity for a day? let alone an entire month? people who cant afford to pay them usually only go for treatment because its just absolutely nessesary, and no way to get around it. hundreds of thousands of people in this country dont get the medical treatment they need because they cant afford to pay. i agree with button21. you do make me want to puke.

It's clear you've never been in the position! Do you know what happens when you "skip" another bill? It costs twice as much. Sorry, sweetie, walk a mile in someone's moccasins before you criticize.
