`Try a Chia Pet dog. Doesn't shed at all. Just give it water and a few drops of liquid fertilizer every so often.

Actually, poodle would be your best option if you are worried about shedding. Otherwise, you are going to have to get a short haired dog. If you are looking at it from an allergy point of view, you may be better off to just get something that doesn't shed a lot, but it's your responsiblity to keep the pet groomed.
I have horrible allergies to most animals, but I have no problems with my dog. She is a Lhasa Apso. They are supposed to be long haired dogs, but I keep her hair very short. She's easy to maintain and very easy to train. I've had her for close to 11 years now, and she is a wonderful dog. She really doesn't shed a whole lot because her fur just keeps growing and never really falls out a lot. Just make sure whatever you get that you get a good grooming brush and give them frequent baths and you should be fine. Good Luck!!!

Anything with shorter hair would probably be OK. I recently adopted a lab/boxer mix....he has the coat of a boxer (very short), and I haven't noticed much hair around. Basically, if you don't want to be dealing with a ton of hair, avoid dogs with fluffy coats like Bernese Mountain Dogs, Shetland Sheep Dogs, Pomeranians, etc. German Shepherds and Huskies shed quite a bit as well.

I'm sure you don't want a hairless dog right? I have a (Smooth) Fox Terrier named Ginger. She NEVER sheds. They can be expensive but they are great dogs. My advise would to train it basic commands as soon as it's old enough, Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, those things.
Hoped this helped!
And if you don't think a Fox Terrier is right for you, check out the Boston Terriers. I have two female boston terriers they are sisters. Absoulutley stunning dogs.
Good luck!

All dogs will shed their hair. The ones with long silky hair seem to shed more, but it's not true. The long hair is more obvious, so it seems like more.
Not only dogs, but all mammals shed, including humans. Look at your comb, you'll find pleanty of hair, but it's replaced with new growth - -- it never stops.

All dogs moult, so your best bet is a short-haired type. To keep the effects down, you need to be prepared to brush the dog often so that the hairs which get on the carpet and everywhere else are kept to a minimum.

Poodles do not shed. A cockapoo (cocker poodle mix) may shed a bit but not like other dogs. Good luck.

I have a Chesapeake Bay retriever and she does shed that much and she was really easy to train and most of the time is very obedient.
