CSF can leak out of your ear but if your injury was severe enough to cause it to do so, it wouldn't take 10 years to see it. A severe injury is macrotrauma, though lots of smaller injuries to the same place on your head could cause microtrauma. It's more likely the the CSF would leak elsewhere first, like your nose or even just internally. If something is leaking out of your ear though, go see your doctor. CSF has a very watery consistency and a clear color. If it does leak out of your nose it's often mistaken for a runny nose but has a different (sweet) taste (sorry, just giving you the details).

CSF will leak out of a persons nose, or ear after severe head trauma where there is a bone fracture. If it is coming out the nose it could be a fracture of the ethmoid bone, if it is out the ear it can be a fracture of the temporal bone. This would not happen 10 post trauma. CSF is a clear sparkly fluid rich in glucose so it has a sweet taste to it, if you suspect you are leaking this you must get examined. Dont wait

I don't think that a CSF leak should develop that long after a head trauma unless you received a second injury... If you think that you have a CSF leak, go to the hospital!

I dont think CSF could leak out of your ear. There is one disease..(i cant remember the name right now)...where the human head gets so large (because of the buildup of CSF)...doctors have to place a tube from ur brain to an artery to get rid of the buildup.
So im pretty sure that the disease im explaing wouldnt happen if it was possible for it to leak out of your ears...basically NO i dont think CSF could leak out of your ears

Ya the condition is called hydrocephalus. I guess what the neurologist said in the link that you posted seems very clear...maybe you should contact your doctor if it persists...

i do no longer see why no longer. Vick has continually had skills, and it exchange into in simple terms this year he confirmed how he has matured in his playing ability. the only ingredient i'm in touch approximately is whether or no longer or no longer he would be stable over the years. This season he did be bothered by injuries which isn't uncommon. yet as you will locate, it slowed him down and his production. i do no longer think of this season exchange right into a fluke. He performed properly in lots of techniques. Vick of path ran the ball efficiently it incredibly is what he does, and he doubtless mastered the passing ingredient. he's exchange right into a extra finished QB. Will he have yet another stable year? I say definite by way of fact he does have a great receiving team around him, and defenses are nevertheless somewhat stricken whilst it includes combating him.
