It really depends on where you go. Many national gyms, like 24 Hour Fatness, offer watered down boxing/kickboxing variants, but you'll have to become a member and possibly pay extra for the class. Just to join the club will often require a $100-250 enrollment fee, plus monthly membership $25-100 per month, then you might have to pay extra for the class depending on your enrollment package.

Now if you're really interested in learning to Box/Kickbox then checkout http://www.boxinggyms.com/ at the bottom of the page is a list of states. Select your state and you will be brought to a list of gyms in your state. Most gyms will have an address, phone number and possibly a web site. Prices for gyms vary greatly. Trainers fees can be from $15-100 per hour (now days more applicable if you want to compete), other gyms have monthly dues, but you can come and go as you please. New places with the latest and greatest equipment will cost more, and sometimes have a membership fee. Older places with older equipment can cost less. Try not to judge a place based on appearnces, the atmosphere and attitudes of the other atheletes is more important.

To find a good gym takes a little leg work. Call the gyms and let them know what your interests are and schedule a time to come by. You can usually get a couple hours of training time free to evaluate the place. Check out all your local gyms and decide which best fits you.

Best of luck.
