well if you go on base you should be coverd with no problems . Like I am .
but you need to ask first if you do go to a civillian doctor if they do take tricare. Not all of them do. I usually go on base to the doctor it's more convinient to do so , but it depends what area you live in
go to
http://www.tricare.osd.mil
or call 1-877-TRICARE( notharea)
1-800-444-5445 ( south area)
1-888-TRIWEST( west area)

they will give you any info you need

once you're on the webpage go to the map of the usa . enter your zip code
this will open up for you to find a provider in your area

Tricare has a website, and I believe that on the website, they have places that accept tricare. www.tricare.osd.mil is it, I think. If you are in the service and you are on vacation and out of your usual clinic area, tricare will pay for any emergency- no matter where you go.
Check out the website and call your local tricare rep for info on who accepts tricare and who doesnt.
