Actually fasting means nothing in whole or part. So you must have lost weight.

I think that your weight can go either way, or stay the same. It depends on how you handle it. If you eat a lot after the sun goes down, and then go to bed immediately after, then you will gain weight. But if you do not eat a lot at all, then you can loose weight. I also think that it can be more of a mental thing. If you believe that because you have not eaten all day you have a right to eat more than usual, then you can gain weight. If you look at it as you are fasting so should never eat a lot, then you can loose weight. I think that the best way to handle it is the eat more than you usually would to make up for missed meals, but that you should not go to bed directly after eating but exercise a little. So it depends on your eating habits and on your mental outlook on the fasting. I hope that this answers your problem.

When I begin a fast I first lose water weight then I begin to lose fat. When fasting you only can drink liquids am I correct. So yes, you do lose weight whenever you burn more calories than you ingest.

well when you fast you eat only at night right?

So MAYBE you actually are gaining weight! Why?

Because if you eat carbs, like rice, bread, and stuff at night, you don't have the whole day to burn off the calories that you just ate, instead you go to sleep and be inactive.

So, maybe since you are not burning your carbs and calories, you actually gain weight.

I know you have to take in 1200 calories to lose weight because it takes energy to burn calories. However, I'm sure if you fast long enough your body would have no choice but to lose weight.

Good luck keeping your fast!

while fasting, your body tends to store more fat cells to sustain you to do daily activites. so when you eat, it stores it as fat rather than energy to be burned. so you usually tend to lose a small amount of weight but when u do it, the food is stored as fat causing you to gain weight quicker...i hope that doesnt sound too confusing and helps.
