Credit card statements will not show exactly what you purchased. Credit card companies do not receive the itemeized receipts from the stores when you buy something, the stores or their parent companies keep those. The only time the credit card company can request it is if you either write in to them (there's usually a fee) or if you have a dispute with that purchase. The credit card company will then contact the store's bank and ask fordocumentation, typically the itemized receipt.

No How this works is a store for example opens up a merchant account, and the merchants you buy from get listed with the amount that they were paid. I keep my credit card reciepts, and when my statement comes I place an x next to each amount that i have a reciept for. May sound tedious, but over the years i've found several charges that I didn't charge. And you can file a claim, and get your money back or a credit for the questionable charges. Hope that helps?

WHAT???
If you use a credit card the bill will show the amount of the charge & the place where the purchase was made. If you are using your card willy nilly & cannot remember where you used it or on what, I suggest YOU keep a record of ALL purchases made with your credit card.

when you use your credit card it will show your purchases on the statement, exactly what you bought. You can also check your credit card purchases online to see if there is something that is incorrect.

The statement will show the TRANSACTION, but not the items bought. It will (usually) have enough information to remind you of your purchase, merchant name, date, amount, and most of the time a contact phone number.
