I usually hold thing like the newspaper or whatever Im eating between my thumb and forefinger.

You need to get some muscle in those arms
When I hold something heavy I shake also..

As you are using muscles, try holding your hands in the position you would have with the newspaper and pinch your fingers together like you were holding the newspaper. Do they shake then?

If so, check out the symptom link at www.hufa.org, and see if you have any other symptoms of low blood sugar.

I would agree that you need to see your doctor. There is a condition known as Benign Essential Tremor. Usually this is and intentional tremor (happens when you try to do something) and is most of the time in one upper extremity when it starts. Strong family history is also a clue.

Benign here is the clue. We usually do not treat this unless is is bothersome to the patient.

The type of tremor is the clue to the diagnosis and other conditions can cause tremor so please see your doctor.

It could be a number of things. Including insufficient nutrition or diabetes. See a doctor and see what you can find out.
