My child spends a lot of time on My Space.com. Is there a way to find out what he's up to?

I would never want him to know that I was snooping. I am just really interested to know what really interests him. He tells me nothing. I know he's a good kid for the most part, but anything is possible even with good kids.

i know whta you mean by this i have a 15yr old daughter and by so many bad things going on the net. i think alll parents need to know what this kids are doing...so i tried getting into my daughter my space account etc. but i couldnt figure out her code so i told her i wanted her password. so what i did is told that i needed it just incase something goes wrong and i need to be able to track you.......i dont check it unless i feel there's something wrong. i check every once in awhile just to make sure she hasnt chnaged the password.......anyway it goes if she do gives it you and she could easily just make up a new one........so it a tough one.....good luck...

It's really not that expensive compared to cranking up the heat. We've been using a little space heater in our bedroom - it's the kind that shuts itself off when it tips over. That being said, how about an electric blanket? Exactly how cold is the house? I mean if it's 65, throw some sweats on. . .if it's 50 than let the teen get some heat, ya know?

I had my students tell me how to access my son's account. I was relieves to see the worst thing on there was an add for beer and a comment that he didn't get along with his parents. Some of the other sites are disgusting!

You could set up your own account on my-space and then find him by either city, school, or his user name if you know it.

your son has a personal password so you wont be able to check it, but what you could do is make one of your own, after doing so there is a place on there that you can search for someone, type in his name, and it will bring you to a place with others with the similar name find his, and click on it, it will bring you to his site, now you wont be able to get into his messages or anything but there might be some things on there you did not know. you can find out alot by the comments that they post. also there will be a friends list, you can see who he is friends with and talking too. good luck.

hi there, I have three kids that have a myspace..Each one of them checks the others space and will tell on each other if they find something that is inappropriate...U can make a space urself but if ur child has their profile set to private then the only way u can view it is to ask to be their friend...I know because my daughter and I checked her site so she could prove a point that I couldnt find her and check her site....I found her site but it is set to private...

My little sister did the same thing. So my mother had me create an account and monitor her behavior. It is pretty simple only took about five minutes to find her once I created an account. I can read what people write on her page and she who her friends are.

Ask him.
Honest works.

If you try to snoop around, there is either no honesty, or no trust. Then he'll hide more from you, even if what he's doing is legit.

It's a communication thing, not a technology thing.

click on search on the top links.
then you just type in your childs name. and it should come up.

you can see what he's been looking at through his computer and what he's been typing by looking into the computers history..
if you don't know the button to click push ctrl+shift+H good luck
