There are so many reasons for high neurological glucose metabolism that it would be irresponsible to say it "sounds like" you have anything just yet. The symptoms could point to an anxiety problem, obsessive-compulsive or mood disorder. To make a long story short, when you're in any of those conditions, your brain can't "switch gears" and areas of it literally overheat. Also suspect are any stimulants you're taking, which promote the same symptoms and physiology. Either way, I'm going to find you a picture of it so you can see why it's likely you have such a headache!

Have a cup of Valerian, call your physician and ask if you can try a PRN to quell the feeling. Don't take anything that contains a stimulant. If your physician isn't in, call your local crisis line. I do not recommend going to the regular old ER. It isn't that they don't mean well, it's that they aren't trained for it, and it almost always ends badly -- like "tell the man in the white coat why your brain hurts," badly. The physician is an individual with an understanding of who you are to begin with, and he'll give you a referral if you need one.

Could u be more specific abt the thoughts u have? It would help..maybe ur stressed out a bit and this would explain the continous flow of underwanted thoughts...and it would also lead to extra pressure in ur hear thus explaining the headache...have u tried some sports to relax? It could help...and dark chocolate and ginseng(chinese med) can help fight stress. Good luck.

Well first I will ask what the thoughts consist of? Many people have thoughts continuously and it don't bother them. I know I have to take medication sometimes to help me turn off my thoughts to go to sleep. The Headaches could be Migraines. My advice would be that you seek the help of a Neurologist and they will help you understand what is going on better and give you any referrals that you may need.

You may have bipolar disorder. You need to seek out a psychiatrist in your area and have them dig a bit deeper make a proper diagnosis. The racing thoughts and headaches "my head won't shut off" are symptoms.
