I have the perfect answer for you! You gave me the perfect information! based on your height, age, and weight your ideal weight is. 137 lbs. Medical recommendation weight range is 121-160 lbs. Using your medium* frame your ideal weight range is 136-150 lbs. Using the Devine formula your ideal weight is 136 lbs.
So no, you're not fat. You may be borderline but if you continue an active lifestyle you should be fine. Maybe you could lose 5 lbs, but who couldn't?

Based on your height and weight, and assuming you are female, you are at the high end of the normal weight range according to the standard charts. The charts do not take into consideration medium frames, chest sizes, etc.

I would recommend visiting your doctor and making sure your blood levels are within normal range (cholesterol, etc.) so you can make sure you do not have to make any modifications to the way you eat.

If you feel you are heavier than you wish to be, and really do not want to diet, make small changes to start. Instead of ordering french fries when you go out, ask for a baked potato. Ask for leaner pieces of meat. Don't eat that extra appetizer. At home, eat more veggies and fruits and items higher in bulk and fiber (they fill you up faster with less calories).

It sounds like you are nervous that you are unattractive and that is why most people ask this question. I work with a man who is very cute who states 'it is not the size of the person that matters, it is the way they carry themselves.' When I asked him what he meant, he told me he would rather be with someone who is not skinny and is comfortable with the way they look and feel. They have a better attitude towards themselves and others. I personally found this very interesting from a man who could have any woman he wants.

I hope you find the answer you want and live a full, healthy and happy life! Good luck!

Im almost the same as you - sometimes I feel fat but I dont really think I am - I could stand to lose a few pounds but that would just be to get to wear more styles of clothes instead of always worrying about buying something flattering. It depends I guess on how its distributed on you - I mean if you have just a heavy top or bottom it may look different than if its all proportiately distributed - and also how much muscle you have, I did years of gymnastics and such so that could change things as well.

It sounds to me that you are not fat. There are three basic body types:

Endomorph (big boned, bulky build, large frame)
Ectomorph (tall, lanky, skinny, thin build, thin frame)
Mesomorph (combination of the two, athletic build, medium frame)

Based on your Ht and Wt it sounds like you are a mesomorph, which means you're not necessarily fat. The best thing to do would be to get a body fat test done and compare the ratio of fat mass to fat free mass. In general for women, +32% body fat is considered unhealthy. Go to a local gym or find a personal trainer that has the resources to perform a body fat test.

There are a lot of really cool internet-based weight calculators that factor in height, weight, age, frame, and sex. With all of this information, you can judge where your weight needs to be very accurately:
http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm

Once you have an ideal weight goal set up, you can go to this website and actually determine the number of calories your body burns in a day. It calculates the number based upon height, weight, age, sex, and activity. You can use this information to determine your caloric budget:

Its a hard question to answer without seeing you but if ur asking the question you must be unhappy with yourself so my advise wouldn't be a diet but to eat smaller meals and do some exercising go dancing just try to do things you enjoy and the weight wont be a issue any more.. good luck

Your a tall person, and you shouldn't be so concerned about your weight. Too many people rely on what they see on television to be the "perfect size and weight". When pretty much all of the models are underweight. Ask your doctor what he or she thinks, and if you are still unsure about their answer go with ur gut instincts.

If you don't think you are fat, then you are not!

Does it really matter what we think?

Ask yourself a few questions:
Can I run as far as i want without running out of breath?
Can I climb as many stairs as I want?
Can I put on my favorite outfit and feel glorious no matter what?

Have you asked your doctor what the best WEIGHT RANGE is for you?

Have you tried on your favorite jeans from when you know you looked and felt your best?

Good Luck

If you are female, I'd say yes, an exercize regemine is in order.
If you are male, I'd say probably not. But just the fact that you are asking this question leads one to believe you could probably benefit from a regular exercize routine.
