Absolutely!! I don't even think I could have a meal if someone next to me was smoking. I cant even breathe when I walk out of a store and someone is standing outside smoking I have to hold my breathe Its so bad.

As a non smoker I personally feel the restaurant owner should have free will to decide if they want smoking or not. That should be their right it is their restaurant.

Sitting in the non smoking section I have never been bothered by smoke from the smoking section. So it doesn't matter to me if they have a smoking section. Heck it is just good business to be accomodating to all your customers not to just one group.

All the money they spent on the no smoking in public places campagin they could put that money into a filter system for the restaurants and bars.

Now there are places where I feel there should not be smoking and every smoker I know agrees. Places like stores, grocery stores, etc should be non smoking.

People that vote for smoking bans have no problem with smokers because they pay for their stadiums and sports arenas but yet they make smokers go all the way outside and stand ten feet away from the stadium they paid for with taxes from their cigartettes' taxes. I don't see why we can't have a designated area for smokers in restaurants. I sure don't come out smelling all smokey from even sitting in the smoking section.

Nope...there is already a "smoking section" and a "non-smoking section". Why? Thats simple, these are grown freakin ppl, they can choose to smoke if they wish and the world shouldnt be built to any one kind of person (smokers or non-smokers). Non-smokers for some reason feel as if the world is supposed to revolve around the fact they hate cigarettes. Thats just stupid. Get the hell over it. Second hand smoking has NEVER been proven to cause any health problems.

Well,some restaurants have smoking and non-smoking sections.However,I do think they should ban smoking its bad for health and people can get cancer from second-hand smoking.

hell yeah!!! (sorry) you see the people who work their the waiters, if they serve in the smoking section they'll get lung cancer or something related to cancer or breathing problems which effects their respiratory system,
cleaning- janitors will have trouble getting rid of smells, and removing left-behind trash by careless smokers which may catch a fire in any time soon,
non-smokers might smell the smoke and give the restaurant a bad rating, reduced customers, less tips, poor working conditions, and poor ventilations.

second hand smoke will get the non smokers , it has to been stop and i want to know why the government subsides the states that still raise the tobacco plants , do not we have better things to do with govern=ment money , kill the public , or could it just be the taxes ...... it is always money Ron

Yes because people can get diseases from it. You can get asma or some lung disease! also There also might be kids in the resteraunt and might get sencond hand smoke. I am glad some people go outside to smoke.

well, yes and no..if its a vege restaurant, then prob it shud...but if its serving high cholesterol and junk food....why bother to ban smoking.....
