masturbation can cause many health issues. these are some things i have read. and god does not allow this
Youth and children of both sexes engage in moral pollution [masturbation] and practice this disgusting, soul-and-body-destroying vice.
Moral principle is exceedingly weak when it conflicts with established habit. Solemn messages from heaven cannot forcibly impress the heart that is not fortified against the indulgence of this degrading vice. The sensitive nerves of the brain have lost their healthy tone by morbid excitation to gratify an unnatural desire for sensual indulgence. The brain nerves which communicate with the entire system are the only medium through which Heaven can communicate to man and affect his inmost life. Whatever disturbs the circulation of the electric currents in the nervous system lessens the strength of the vital powers, and the result is a deadening of the sensibilities of the mind.
If the practice is continued from the ages of fifteen and upward, nature will protest against the abuse she has suffered, and continues to suffer, and will make them pay the penalty for the transgression of her laws, especially from the ages of thirty to forty-five, by numerous pains in the system and various diseases, such as affection of the liver and lungs, neuralgia, rheumatism, affection of the spine, diseased kidneys, and cancerous humors. Some of nature's fine machinery gives way, leaving a heavier task for the remaining to perform, which disorders nature's fine arrangement; and there is often a sudden breaking down of the constitution, and death is the result.

All churches forbid masturbation. It will befoul you and you shed your seed on barren earth...BUT...this is what people say...NOT what people do...masturbation is common to all races, all religions and to most animals too. Sexuality is not something that can be contained under the pretext of religion...look at the Catholic priests who like both boys and girls and think too about the secret passage of the Vatican that allowed the Pope to get out and have sex. It is really a two-faced issue...the good way and the bad way....but remember that the bad way about masturbating is the normal way. Boys in New Guinea often masturbate as many as ten times a day...and they live normal lives. Methodists are not special or different...you are just being normal. Many men over 40 masturbate instead of having sex with their wives because their wives have a 'headache' and the men find it more enjoyable. I am a physician.

some religious groups deem masturbation to be a sin and condemn it pretty blatantly. Others try to ignore it by saying nothing and hoping it will go away. A few actually know that it isn't a sin and while they don't openly preach doing it, they don't condemn you if you do.
Personally I don't believe any religion should preach against things you can do for yourself that harm no one and may (as recently published in a few medical journals) actually be healthy for you. And since we now know masturbation might be a good preventative for prostate cancer maybe religions should all encourage it to help us stay healthy longer.
But that won't happen because some people and religions deem masturbation to be the same as onanism (which it isn't but their misreading of the texts allows them to say it is) and a few even go so far as saying that masturbation is the lead in to being gay (which it isn;t becaus eif it was every man and woman on the planet woudl be gay and you would not be here) and being gay is a sin (which it isn't either since there is actually no reference to homosexualiuty in the bible at all).
As for your specific religion, I would assume since they don't mention it they probably are one of the ones who don't really care to think about it, know about it or otherwise give it mention. So you could safely assume that as long as you don't masturbate in church or otherwise make known your self-pleasure activity they won't toss you out.

I do not believe that would even be covered. It is already considered a gross perverse sin. It needs no doctrine in order to be wrong.

I don't know, but if God didn't want you to touch yourself, I think he'd have given you shorter arms. Telling people that touching their own body is a sin is absolutely ridiculous.
