You can't "GET" him to like you, but you can certainly persuade him.
Be yourself, I know everyone says that, but if you try to be someone different and they fall in love with that someone, then when you do be yourself, they'll take it the wrong way.
Look nice, obviously.
Smile. Laugh. Flirt. If you get to talking ask him if he want's to go see a movie, I would say a scary one. Try the Grudge 2!

You cannot make anyone like you. If it is to be, then it will be, but trying to force the issue will repel him just as surely as a cross deters Dracula.

I think that you should just confront him and ask if he'd like to go out for dinner or to the movies. You'll catch him by surprise and he will most likely agree to it if he finds you attractive.

Since your new, try getting near to him, as in, if his interested in a certain subject,try to get involved init,and show that your interested in it,so he could relate to you.
Also stay calm,and last of all, be yourself!

be yourself. since you're new in school, nobody knows much about you. try to be friends with him and hang out a lot, too, and you never know what could happen
