My new 14 week old maltese cry's & cry's & cry's at night until I finally let him on the bed. The only reason I have been trying not to is becuase he always pee's on it. I take him outside every 30 minutes, nothing.. he doesnt even pee on the floor. He waits until I pick him up & put him in bed with me & it seems like as soon as I fall back asleep he pee's!! Im down to just mattress & sleeping with a towel becuase I dont have 4 washing machines.. Im not mad, he is a baby I cant be mad at him.. but what can I do to stop him??

also, make sure you use a enzyme neutralizer spray to eliminate ALL odors completely, or he may be peeing just because he smells a residue of it (like, if the slightest bit got on the matress - just because you can't smell it, doesn't mean he can't)
have you tried crate training at night? you can wrap up a hot water bottle and a clock in a pillow or thick blanket, that simulates the mother's warmth and heartbeat, or they make puppy beds that do the same thing - simulate the mother.
i know its hard when you hear your puppy crying for you, but be strong, set limits, or he will challenge your leadership all his young life, and maybe into adulthood.

Don't let him on the bed, he's learned that the bed is his "outside" and can pee on it, and he doesn't understand being outside. When he goes outside praise him, give him treats make a HUGE deal out of it, and if he starts going inside interupt him with a loud noise and bring him outside to finish then make a big deal again out of it!

Get a basket and some blankets for him and make him sleep in the kitchen. It's not cruel, my dog sleeps in the kitchen and he is fine with it. As long as he has a bed in the kitchen he can sleep there. It's either that or you will be sleeping in a soggy bed from now on.

Because he hearts you. Train him to pee on those little doggee things, so there's no pissing problem. It can't be /that/ much of a hassle for you.

I hate it when people get a pet, then just banish it outside. Yuck.

Stop letting him onto the bed. Now. Start crate training him. Even if he messes in the crate, it's a lot easier to clean than your bed!

*lol* my newly adopted ckcs does that too! and it's wierd, coz she only pees on the side she sleeps... i sleeps in the middle, my maltese on my left, she's on my right.
and i thought it was because she was an abused dog...
now, i get over it....i've done with punishing/ training/ coaxing/ rewarding her, & she still don't get it...(the other pet maltese i have, don't have this issue @ all).
now, the incidents don't happen as frequently anymore.
good luck!

train him.
do not let him in the bed.
get a small dog enclosure for "his room"
right now you are training him to pee in your bed.
