we live full time in our 5th wheel rv. our sensor goes off at odd times and we can't find the problem. never smell gas-but when it goes off we open the ceiling vents and circulating fans and it will go off. we aren't cooking a lot of the times when it goes off and are stumped-help

It could be defective. Buy another one to be sure. Don't take a chance. If the problem continues, start checking your furnace.

Also, a lot of RV stoves are not vented to the exterior. Mine has a hood, but the hood blower pumps the fumes right back above your head, rather than outside, so I turn on a blower in the ceiling when my wife cooks.

Buy a better sensor....I have one in my house that will not only sound an alarm, but show the amount of carbon monoxide present in the air.
As well, for your own safety, get you air quality tested. It's not that expensive, and could save your life. Get your unit tested for propane leaks.....I get it done every spring in my 5th wheel.

Needless to say, this is serious. YOU CAN'T SMELL CO!!!
So replace the sensor today! If that one is going off as well, get out of the RV 'til the CO source is found and eliminated.

i own a repair shop,and it will sense any fumes of the propane ,there really sensitive to propane, you might try and move the location of it to somewhere else,i think it might be too close to the heater or the stove,good luck i hope this help,s.
