I think there is no problem with an age gap as long as you have something in common and are reasonably mature about life and relationships.
I am 34 and my husband is 42 and we dont have a problem with the age gap.

That isn't really a very big age gap, and I don't think anyone could really say that its wrong.
I've always been drawn to older men. I'm 19 now, and I've been involved with men from 30 - 42. Its a personal thing, but it doesn't mean a relationship can't work.
Personally, the fact that my OH is 13 years older than me doesn't even occur to me - we get on fine and have never had any problems from people because of the age gap.

Nothing wrong with it. Guys aren't on the same maturity level as woman at the same age. Woman are more mature at 24 than guys are just as men in their 50's aren't as aged as women in their 50's. The only problem I have is when I see men my age (40+) that have never married or had kids and they won't date someone their age because they think the woman is too old for them. They then go after a woman 20 years younger than them. If they have money and alot to offer, then I guess it's a fair deal but the plain joe type really isn't going to attract a younger woman. Other than that, nothing wrong with it. I am 40 and prefer guys in their 50's

It all depends on where the two people are at really it has nothing to do with the number but like you know how most 12 year olds act and how must 16 years olds act. So usually it would be better for a 12 year old to go out with a 12 year old just because where there focus on life is and how they thin. Sam e goes for the 16 year olds. But sometimes there can be a 12 year old who has just as much maturity as a 16 year old. SO they are on the same level. SO once again it all depends on where the two people are at. Or at least that is what I believe

I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

I don't think that 11 years is a problem, I'm 28 and my b/f is 40. We both have a lot in common and we get on great the fact that i'm younger doesn't even occur to us. Other people may see the age difference as a problem but as long as your happy go for it.

it totally depends on the maturity of these people. Some 35 year old men act like frat boys and some 24 year old women act like teenagers if they are both mature and responsible adults that have lots in common and have fun what is wrong with that

I dont think age should matter at all. I was 19 when I met my husband and he was 31 at the time. We are still together 18 years later! So ignore those who try and tell you it wont work out its not the age its the compatability that I think should count. I hope this relationship works. Good luck xx

I don't think that 11 years between them should be any problem. Men at 35 have usually caught up with women in being mature.

I met my now hubby when I was 19 and he was 29. We have never noticed or even considered the age gap between us and are blissfully happy. I am now 30 and he is 40.
