I live in the UK and the majority of people want out of the EU ..Mr Blair in his wisdom has refused what the British people believe in and sold half our rites away ...Such as not getting back our refund which was millions .... In essence the EU parliament is so corrupt making up laws that are useless such Human Rights that have been exploited , having fruit and veg weighed in KG bit outlawing Ibs and ounces when the Brits still travel legally by MPH ???? but have to fill up in litres ???

Blair backed off changing us to using the EURO as currency because he knew the brits would not have it and he would loose the election .He promised us a referendum on the EURO when he came to power but quickly backed off again when he realised he was going to loose

Your answer that you seek can only be answered by the corrupt politicians who make the laws and are not voted for ...

Why the US does not press for a North America Union like agreement is not totally clear to me, but Mexico's GDP is not really a relevant metric.

On the other hand, the fact that EU accepts these countries is by no means a "proof" that this is what should be done, because: (a) EU can be wrong and (b) the two situations are not identical, and are actually very different.

You mean like Britain is accepting Bulgaria etc? Looks like they tried it and didn't like it. We can learn from their mistakes.

As well as our own.

They voted to let these other countries in before they felt the pain of letting in earlier waves. Now they are essentially stuck short of an abrupt about turn. However, I do wonder what will happen with Turkey, which has not yet been approved, but was led to expect approval.

Examples of EU citizens are not relevant to our situation here, since EU members are traveling legally, generally, whereas we are talking about those who clearly knew they could not come.

Be glad. I´m an American living in Germany and the EU accepts practically any poor country that wants in the EU. And who pays? The richer countries like Germany.

America accepts immigrants that come from countries with low GDP.

As long as those immigrants come through the front door LEGALLY!
