Water is better. Milk can give kitties diarrhea, and you don't want that! Make sure the bowl is clean every day. Canned food is better - there are a lot of preservatives in dry, as well as corn meal. Too much vegetable product in a cat food isn't healthy for them -- they're more carnivorous than humans.
This sounds like your first cat, so I will say cats are very good pets. Clean and cute. Low maintenance compared to a dog. They seem fun when they're very young, (under one year) because they play a lot, but then they start sleeping more and playing less. You may think your cat is boring and wish she was a dog. Then one day, the cat will jump on your lap or keyboard or bed, and you'll notice you really do love your cat, and that she is still small, cute, and fun. I don't know why this happens, but it always does.

Obviously he should drink water as milk isn't good for cats. Saying that he's gone through an awful lot in the last two days and another dramatic change probably isn't what he needs right now. I'd let him have milk for another week and then change it to water. My previous cat was from my grandparent's farm and always had free access to milk when we got him. We didn't know at first that milk was bad and he refused water (albeit we probably didn't try too hard). He lived till he was 14 years so a few more days shouldn't hurt your kitten. However he did develop renal failure when he was 12-13 and obviously there's a good chance this was at least in part caused by drinking milk. At this time we switched him to water and didn't budge when he didn't drink it at first. In a day or so he came round and started drinking it and was fine on it for over a year. Hence when you are ready to move on to water leave it out and the kitten should drink it eventually. You could also try moving gradually from milk to water. Water down the milk a little more each day until it's 90% water and 10% milk. Do this slowly, over a week or two. Then just leave out water. Just like switching the cat's food, it should work.

Kitten food is a must but sometimes milk is not the best choice to give to a cat.Give your cat some water and every once in a while give your cat a bowl of milk.

Depending on the kittens age she should be able to eat regular food and water. When kittens arent quite weaned yet they will do something called kneading where they take the paws and knead just about anything. If you are concerned that she isnt fully weaned you can buy something called mommas milk. Its specially formulated for kittens and you can find it in just about any pet store. Never give a cat or a kitten real milk, there bodies cant digest the lactose and they will have diariah. Good luck with your new kitten!

Really a little milk as a treat is okay, but too much will give them loose stools, water is better for the most part. Is the kitten eating okay? If so theres nothing to worry about. Also give her kitten chow untill shes bigger. hope that helps.

After a kitten is weaned (the mother stops nursing it) a kitten/cat should NEVER get milk.
First of all, that milk that is in the stores is usually cows milk and is very hard on their stomachs
Second cats are lactose intolerant, it means it will make them sick!
Third consult a local vet for dietary needs! That is something you shouldn have done before you got any animal.

Give her water, not milk. Milk will likely cause diarrhea. Feed her a premium kitten food from your local pet store. Avoid the grocery store foods because they are made with mostly corn fillers which are very bad for your cat, will cause her to poop more, her poop will be more smelly, and her health could be adversly affected if she's not getting the nutrients she needs. Talk to your local pet store about the best food for her.

Milk is not very good for cats, as they cannot digest it properly. Kittens need to eat several times a day, so make sure you leave out dry kitten chow (NOT adult food) and plenty of water at all times. Once every couple of days, give her some canned wet food. You can give milk as a rare treat once she is older.

As long as it is weaned, all a cat needs to drink is WATER! Be sure and feed your kitten a good quality KITTEN food until it is about a year old. Good luck with your kitty.

i would personally just use water.. but milk every now and then won't hurt. you can go to the nearest pet store and buy some kitten food to feed your kitten. you can also feed them a very little amount of tuna every now and then for a treat.
