My boyfriend and I have been together for about 4 months. I really love him and as far as I know he loves me too. What can I do to make our relationship stronger? We talk maybe once a week on the phone and email every day. I just don't wanna lose him to another girl that lives closer. Any advice?

I've been in my LDR for 6 mons and I know it is frustrating. I try to maintain a positive attitude and remember that he can cheat even if he is living under your roof.

I encourage you and him to talk on the phone more than once a week. Having the same cellphone company helps because we are able to take advantage of the mobile to mobile service.

What is the goal of this relationship and the reason for the LD are important b/c it gives you something to focus on.

We plan to marry in 2009 so the distance between us will go on for 2 more yrs.

Hope this helps a little.

be very careful. long distance relationship is like having money in the bank, u can go and pick it up anytime u want. but the bank will be using for other transactions, so Ur bf might be doing something else while pretending to be what he is. if not he is a very good man for u. and try to get closer to him not by phone nor Internet , i mean closer to him. best .

It's tough to say depending on your age and how long you will be apart for. If it is only temporary, then try and talk/webcam as much as you can. Otherwise I think that LD can get tough when it's for longer than a few months. If you are in a position to be closer together and he feels the same, then take the dive.

You just have to try and talk as much as possible with him. I know that I talk to my girlfriend (who lives about 5 hours away) on an almost daily basis for a long time and that really helps our relationship. Also spend whatever time you can with him, even if it's only an hour. As an example, I left airport security yesterday to see my girlfriend for just an hour and a half. Sometimes it's just little things. If you really love each other and try to do things like that (talk to each other as much as possible and spend as much time together as possible), then it will work out just like if you were together.

Long distance relationships are difficult. If you want the relationship to get better remove the distance. Relationships are not just about talking.

Too late. Long distance relationships never work. You cannot meet each others' needs.

Unfortunately there is not a lot you can do, if it is destiny to work it will. From a distance what can you do really>? Not much more than you are already doing.
