i want to fly an air ambulance for my local hospital and need information.

If you are serious...one of two choices.

1. Join the military as a helicopter pilot to gain flying experience first.

2. Pay out the azz for private lessons.

Once you have about 3000 hrs, cause that's about what it is going to take, then apply for the job. Shouldn't be too hard finding an opening if one exists.

More then likely you need to have your EMT license because the pilots I think need to be trained in that, then probably you'd have to go through the local fire department, and of course your pilots license
