I really want to adopt an asian child one day. As for other people, maybe they're too scared to overcome those differences. I think more people should adopt instead of having a lot of children themselves...

In my family alot of mine don't agree with mixing races and when i asked why i got an ok answer cause i just wanted to make sure they weren't prejudice. They said that there would always b questions by there peers and other people.Questions like why aren't your parents the same colour as u and in school and in the real world people an kids can b very mean an being accepted by your peers is sometimes hard for eg... when i was in high school there where many groups of people but it seemed that they would form a group that was the same race of them like all the greek girls would hang together all the jamacian girls would hang together .Unfortunatly it is because alot of people r prejudice against others os they just can't handle the ignorant feedback u get from people now adays. It's funny u have asked that question cause just recently on my exes side of the family his sister just told everyone she is gay now she just married the other and they also follow the jewish religion. They have just finished adopting a child from africa. The first thing that i heard come out of someone mouth was oh that poor child what is he going to do when he groes up.If you don't care about how other people think then it will b easy otherwise it will b difficult . anyway sorry for the story but i hope it helps a little an good luck finding your answer.

I commend you for bringing these children into your lives,no matter what nationality they are. What people don't understand,is that it takes a "Special" person, with a heart of Gold,to raise children that are not biologically their own. Although there will be Trials and Tribulations, once the children realize that their parents look different then they do,in order for you to choose to adopt,I'm sure God will guide you in your path to raise normal, healthy children. (Good Luck and God Bless you,and your Family).
(Note) This message is for "Hollywood". Has it ever occured to you, that the majority of children who are put into Adoption Agencies are children who's parents have passed away,or maybe these children are products of Incest or Rape?. Because you (nor) I don't know the extent of the situation, then don't pass judgement. Love and Respect your parents, and "Thank God" you were not a product of "The System".

I am not white, but I think they don't adopt black children because they can't teach them about there heritage. Heritage is very important to who you are as a person, which is why some black people would also be against this. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, it is more important for them to have a good home. As a Native American and a minority, I feel that heritage is part of who we are, so please educate these children on their heritage, and have them involved with mentors of the same race.

Are you sure "white people are generally not willing", or is this an assumption? I have met several white couples who have adopted black babies, chinese babies, african babies, etc. Actually, what I haven't seen are black couples adopting white or chinese babies or any ethinicity other than african-american. Now, this just may be because of where I live or my limited amount of exposure. But, I think your assumption about white couples' adopting practices may be a little overstated.

This can go both ways... I think it's a culture thing. It's hard to raise a child of the opposite race sometimes. example... hair is different, and as they grow up some kids seem to not get all of their past history or culture explained to them.

this is a very good question, i'm white and my wife is black, and we've talked about this, and i really don't have a problem with because we're thinking of adopting. to me if a kid needs a parent than color shoudn't be an issue, it really shouldn't. because there are alot of kids who really need families.

It is natural for parents of any race to want a child of the same race. This is not limited to white people.

Your wrong, its that their are unfortunatly more kids of that race to adopt,so the real q. maybe to ask that race why do they abandone their children like that and just throw them away like the were a piece of trash!See,You can,t be to Quick to point a finger to you have all the facts, friend of mine works for under prellivege kids, and the most of them are African american waiting to be adpted,So if their rael parents were better parents,Maybe you would not be blessed with the wonderful children you have in your Life!Hollywood
