Oh dear
On the front there is a row of buttons
Push this button assembly into the radio fascia.
It has been released and not been put back into position.
This action is carried out, releasing it I mean, so if stolen the radio will never work while you are carrying the buttons.

Most likely the internal circuit protection is turning off the sound. I first check the speakers in the trunk to see if some package has hit the speaker wire connector(s) Any short circuit will kill the sound to all the speakers. Hope that gives you a starting point before you go out and put the new radio head unit in.

Have you wired it up correctly? Try checking the fuse.
