nobody believes anyone anymore without proof as they did back in the day like centuries ago. How do you spread ideas now? would you rather accept or question? do you believe in God or no God (ideas that were accepted)? Science?

Very good point

As long as we question...we are human beings

When we start accepting we become spiritual..we become divine

Taking this question from an astrological point of view, we have moved from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. We are just at the beginning of the Age of Aquarius so we are experiencing turbulent times. Why?

First of all, an "Age" is well over 2000 years long. An Age is at its strongest and most meaningful point at around the 1000 year mark. Entering an Age and leaving one are the most turbulent and difficult points in terms of experiencing them.

The Age of Pisces brought us institutions. Government, the church, and so on. As we were exiting Pisces, that's when we began experiencing the tearing down of these institutions. The 1960s being a good example of how difficult this can be. Everything was suspect with that time period being a kind of prologue of what was to come.

Now, as we have entered the Age of Aquarius, we find we are living through the last death throws of Pisces along with the beginning of the clean-up. Institutions that are worthwhile, will remain standing. Those that limit or stop individual freedom, creativity and personal expression, (attributes of this Age) will continue to die and be scrutinized under both personal and societal microscopes.

We are seeing this unfold in every aspect of life from the average person being suspect and critical of their government, to the continuing battle on the field of religious belief. To say the times we are living in currently are "uncomfortable" is a monumental understatement. Everyone is having their beliefs questioned in all areas of their life - not just religious.

Eventually this will shake itself out but for now the battle rages on. I do not necessarily think it's a bad thing. Tough at the moment but eventually we will come to a consensus. And given that this consensus will be found during an Age of almost extreme individual freedom, that consensus will more boldly and truly reflect the will of the people.

We have been in an age of questioning for as long as I can remember. I think that is what has helped us to advance so rapidly in the last 100 or so years. Ideas are spread on their merit now days. I believe this is a good thing ideas need to be questioned. I also believe that God and science are compatible.

I'm afraid that people have become very cynical and untrusting, but I've gotta tell you that in some ways I don't blame them. It's more to do with the hitech era. Human contact is at a minimum.
I'm just now reading "Russka" - sure is a great book - talks about the birth of Christianity and Islam. Edward Rutherford is a terrific author - weaves his stories in and out of fiction and historical.
Bu you don't have to go back centuries. This society started this behavior only about 10 years ago.

For me i would rather challenge than become a gullible empty shell. I am a science person, i do not believe in God. I am very sceptical of the fact that there was once someone that walked on water, healed people with the touch of a hand and fed heaps of people with a few fish. I believe that religion is just what one person believes.

belief is insecure way of desire to put any information on somethihg with doubtful condition of such existence but becoming what u want to be is diffrent story.. there is no need to spread any ideas accepting an answer it's to ur preference and liking god is old way to express such existence more likely we can say intelligent force is in charge here .let's put this way if u believe in god or not makes no exception we were created by same force and ppl run inng away fro reality in the now like scared mice whenthey see the cat 'to lure them back to that cat means coming home that cat becomes a lving pussy cat which forgives us instantly without any judgment and unconditional loveblessings to the most high and to u sir included

Centuries ago people believed without proof, which is why they threw people into rivers with stones tied to them, thinking they were evil if they survived. Wasnt the world also flat for a while there? And the Earth revolved around the sun?

Really? When I look around all I see are thousands of sheep being mislead each day. I hope everyone starts questioning a lot more. The world will be a better place when everyone starts to think a little with their minds.

I agree with you as well. At least some of us are, some believe still that if you say it often enough, loud enough, and quote enough passages of ancient text it will be enough, but not for most of us.
By no means does this mean the death of Christianity, either, but hopefully a millennium of more thought and study of what Christ wanted, not tidbits used to persecute others.
