Congrats! I want to tell you BE PERSISTANT! Don't believe in bull** stuff you read here. As latina she's, you're going to have real love forever. Don't cheat on her and you'll see it's worth it. Most of American women are fat; don't take care of themselves and their marriages. We do. Now if you are infatuated then...let her go. We latinas, love with fire and forever. Don't get her pregnant so soon...enjoy your marriage first!

Good Luck...check http://workpermit.com/us/family_visas/spouse.htm

Have her walk across the border like everyone else does. Hey you can even be with her at the time of her crossing. I know one guy who took a trip south and then smuggled his new wife in the trunk of his car. Not very romantic but it worked. Now being you met her over the Internet odds are you know very little about her other than all the good stuff. Which points to the old saying they are just using you to get into the country. And whether you want to hear it or not odds are in her favor that she is up to doing this.
Now resolving your issue. Go to your local INS office and start the paperwork. It will take several months and maybe a year before she is given approval plus lots of money.
Tell your bride that it will take a year or so and see how she reacts. Get her pregnant in her home country and tell her that. It may sound cruel to some extend but it may show her true colors.
I speak from experience.

I'm sure she is a nice lady, but why do people go so far to get a partner when there are hundreds of thousands of women within walking distance from them. move to colombia.

It would of been real easy at the American Embassy. Now your going to have to go through immigration where you live through the US Embassy to the US Embassy in Columbia.

Visa marriages are under special scrutiny by the authorities for suspicion of fraud, so it could be somewhere between 10 years and when hell freezes over before it gets approved! LOLOL

Where is "over here?" What country? And are you a citizen of that country? No one can answer until you have clarified your situation.

i agree with tom b. there are so many single women you could have found in our country from every nationality that are CITIZENS, why go somewhere else? don't you go to sleep at night wondering the real reason she married you?
