There is no easy answer to this question. Believe me, I wish there was. I guess the saying "time heals all things" rings true in this instance especially. If you truly love someone, you can't make those intense feelings leave overnight. Hooking up with someone else doesn't always do the trick either ... they just remind you that you aren't with the person you want to be with. Just understand that it will take time ... keep yourself busy, go out with your friends ....
Someone once told me that the pain from a broken heart is like a bag of sugar that you take a teaspoon out of everyday. At first, it doesn't seem to be making any difference at all, but over time, as you watch, it disappears a little at a time. Before you know it, the entire bag is gone.
Okay, so that's a little more sad and mushy then most of my answers usually are ... oh well ....

It takes time. I know it probably feels like forever but your heart will heal. getting all of the hurt out by crying and being with someone close will help. it just takes time and to know that you are an amazing person and that its really their loss. hitting your pillow a couple hundred times while you picture their face right there helps too. by also not rebounding into a quick fix me up relationship, that only makes the pain worse. just dealing with a broken heart and not giving up will mend a broken heart. just loveing yourself and knowing you deserve better will heal it and of course alittle time.

To be honest with you time really doesnt mend anything. Its up you to make a difference for yourself.Dont rely on anyone to help you through this. Many people can give you advice but its all up to you to absorb is all understand it an then up it into action. Just remember its your heart, and your life, that will be changed for the better.

a tub of ben & jerry's ice cream.
the DVD Romie and Michelle's High School Reunionand/or A Walk To Remember
stay in your pajamas the next few days.
don't shower or shave your legs.
raw cookie dough.
After three days, get showered, shaved, shampoo'd and go hook up with someone gorgeous,
If all else fails, write a song....and eat cookie dough

There is no easy way to do it. The best thing is to just let time progress. I thought I would die of my first heart break, but I got over it. You will get over it. Try to find things to do to make you forget about it and people to talk to about it. I'm really sorry. I hope you feel better.

Hard to mend. You sometimes have to replace the prior love with something new. Try to look for something to replace him. If you do go for another man, remember it's just a rebound and not to make a relationship of it.

Find a new heart throb. Works better than superglue.
