my hubby's new cats (he found on the highway) are not only nasty ,but annoyingly rubbing against my legs and under foot every second.How do I make them stop (without the use of a bb gun)?

keep a spray bottle of water nearby. lightly mist them in the face a few times. This works, because cats hate water. They will learn very quickly what is causing them to get sprayed and stop doing it.

Cats rub against your legs because they are trying to mark their territory. Cats have scent glands in their cheeks - they rub up against you (and other objects in the house) because they are marking their territory.
If you've picked up animals on the side of the highway, make sure you get them to the vet to bring them up to date on their innoculations and for a check up to be sure they are healthy. This is important especially if you have other animals, or small children in the house.

you cannot simply keep any cat you (or he) finds - all cats need to be reported found to the local SPCA or humane society - there may be an owner looking for it.. the fact it was found on a highway means somebody dumped it there - often a neighbour of the owner..... or it was traveling and somehow got out of the car and is lost...
if nobody has filed a LOST report then you can keep it but otherwise you are at risk to be sued for THEFT if you keep a cat you didnt report finding... so do that first
cats rub to show affection...dogs are worse.... push them away but really get used to it.. it means they like you,

u sound like a heartless cold witch maybe every time u rub against ur husband he should use bb gun on u...the cats were tossed away and there showing love and gratitude

cats do that 2 show that they like u
it just a natrual thing the only way would be to make the cat hate u

An inexpensive remote electic shock collar will do the trick. May sound inhumane to some but better than the BB gun. At least you won't shoot your eye out.

that means that it wants to love you and play. well i can tell u aren't a cat person... but try to give some love and care. if you were a cat you would want that too.
