I had 2 wisdom teeth and 2 normal teeth extracted under general anthestitic last week. Im up to 4th day and the swelling is slowly going down and a nice bruise is coming up. I have a hole heap of stiches in my mouth. But today im noticing that i feel like someone is putting pressure on my face? Is this normal? Anyone felt like this? Still eating the soft baby food. grr :(

I had my wisdom teeth extracted and 2 implants put in (further forward) and I was fine by the forth day.

Some bleeding is to be expected and the swelling is common. Did they give you anything for the swelling. If not Advil can help. Just follow the directions and if the bleeding is bad or you are in pain in a few days let them know they will possibly pack the area with gauze and clove oil. This acts as both a numbing agent and helps fight bacteria. Don't do this yourself let the doctor decide.

Dont worry. It is going to take some time to heal up. Especially if they had to dig around to get some roots out. Just keep roatating the ice. 20 minutes on 20 minutes off and that will help. Other than that time will heal. If you are in extreame pain then you might have dry sockett, but it doesnt sound like you do.

Call your dentist. You may be forming an abscess, a simple prescription can remedy this. You may even be experiencing a dry socket, which is where the blood clot loosens out of the socket and the nerve is exposed. Very painful!!! They simply will pack the socket with a medicated material. This doesn't hurt, in fact you may feel immediate relief after packing. As I said you really need to get in touch with your dentist and see what he or she suggests.
