Like if i make a fire to boil water to make a cup of tea, i kind of know how that works, but what is the maths, science, machanics, logic etc that makes us forgiven when Jesus died. And could God forgive us with out killing himself first?

You understand the significance of this act. In reality, there is nothing like dying for somebody else's sins. Do you remember that jesus said " I & my father in heaven are the same". he meant it not for himself. but the whole humanity. i've heard so many stupid explanations from christians from all over the world over the simple saying of jesus. no one understood it even today. no one ever will. because they are taught to talk like parrots from childhood.
Jesus meant that every man is god manifested, however good or bad he is. so god himself has to take up the task of showing the way. so he died. his death was a catalyst to change the heart of people. yes, few took advantage of it and started a church to rule over the masses. they have created war. killed people, raped women and children, looted.
if today you try killing yourself and say you died for others sins, it is an act of stupidity. times have changed. look at Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi of India. About fifty years back that man changed everything the way. British were fighting Hitler across Europe, Africa & Asia. But they were fighting a far stronger person in India. Hitler had a big war machine, Gandhi had Non-violence. Allied forces to which Britain was a part won the war against HItler, but britain lost the battle with Gandhi. they had to leave india. Gandhi won freedom for india without war, without killing a british citizen. Yes, in the end he fell to an assassins bullet. His death has changed a lot of people across the world. many worked at his ashram in Sabarmati till their end. they chose the path of non-violence. Jesus has to be understood from a different perspective, not atleast from what Catholic church preaches.

Heb.9:14-16 To give his word without doubt that he is the Savior of the world.
People are born in sin that they inherited at birth by no fault of their own, sin is imperfection that gives the person a short life full of troubles and eventually DEATH.

Because man is born in imperfect sin, he can commit even more terrible sin by bad behavior and bad thinking [ Gen.8:21 ]; and anything in the way of all the various kinds of sickness or bad health can result from being born imperfect.

Rom.6:7 When a person dies they are freed from the sin they were borned into if they can be raised from the dust Psm.104:29,30 [ Job 34:14,15; Gen.3:19; John 5:26-29;
Acts 24:15; Dan.12:2; Isa.26:19 ]; COMING FROM THE DUST AS A RESURRECTED SOUL INTO THE 1000 YEAR JUDGEMENT DAY NOT BORN IN SIN BUT RESURRECTED.

God could have destroyed it all and none of the seed [ or offsprings ], of Adam would have had any life.
All was perfect to Eden. From Eden all is LOST until it is SAVED by Jesus and his ELECT PRIEST Rev.20:1-6, they are with him to resurrect 12,13 for the judgement day
Rev.3:12 to come down out of heaven from God Heb.12:22-24 the spirits of just men made perfect [ John 6:39,40,44; 1Thes.4:15-17 ]; are with Jesus at his coming to make the earth new [ 2Pet.3:13; Isa.65:17; 66:1,22; Rev.21;1-5 ]; Rev.20:12,13 resurrects:
Heb.9:27 It is appointed unto man once to die and after that, the judgement day, 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53 As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Rom.14:9-12; 2Cor.5:10; Philip.2:5,9-12; The 6, 000 year old LOST WORLD in Eden will be SAVED in the 1000 year reign of OUR LORD AND SAVIOR CHRIST JESUS.

SO JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED

Luke 23:34 Father forgive them for they know not what they do [ these that pierced Jesus knew not what they did }????
Rev.1:7; Jesus comes with the clouds and every eye shall see him, even they that pierced him, and all shall wail because of him, Amen ????

Heb.2:9,14,16 Jesus has the right to destroy Satan.
1Cor.15:22-28,51-53 he has the right to have his heavenly body, he has the right to save and judge the world Acts 17:31 and to destroy death and make all as perfect as it was before Eden 2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1-5 for his God and Father to be all in all.
Heb.9:14-16 Jesus gave his word on it, he sealed it with his life and we have the New Testament added to the Old Testament to show how all is LOST in Eden to Be SAVED by the first thing God ever created. We know him as Christ Jesus our SAVIOR.

I know what the church teaches but truthfully I don’t understand it. It’s comes from the Old Testament rules of animal sacrifice. There were different type of animals and procedures of killing for different types of sin. I think in some cases a white unblemished lamb was required to be killed to forgive sins.
Jesus was without sin so he was the unblemished lamb. He let him self be sacrificed for everyone else’s sins. You know Jesus is the Lamb of God. After Jesus was sacrificed for our sins then it was no longer necessary to sacrifice animals for the forgiveness of sin.
You know there are things in the Bible that just don’t make since to me. And I just kind of let them pass over my head. But I’ve had real experiences with the Holy Spirit. The Bible may not be right about everything. But I have no doubt of the power of the Spirit and the goodness of God.

Jesus didn't have a choice where he was going? He couldn't have avoided towns with lots of Roman military if he wanted? And he had no friends who might serve as lookouts or warn him if soldiers were coming for him? He didn't even claim to know that the Romans were coming but overtly chose to do nothing about it? Either you have an entirely different version of the end of Jesus' life than anyone else I've met, or your line of thinking is something I am unable to follow. I've always scorned Jesus for being suicidal myself. If a truck is coming and you don't bother to get out of the way, there aren't a whole lot of other words for that.

Adam gave the human race a bad start. Paradise, happiness, and everlasting life were forfeited, and in their place sin, suffering, and death were acquired through disobedience. “Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” “Death ruled as king from Adam down.” (Ro 5:12, 14) But God in his wisdom and love provided a “second man,” “the last Adam,” who is the Lord Jesus Christ. By means of this obedient “Son of God” the way was opened up whereby descendants of the disobedient “first man Adam” could regain Paradise and everlasting life “For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive.”—Joh 3:16, 18; Ro 6:23; 1Co 15: 45, 47.

In Jewish law, when one worshiped he gave a sacrifice. The more affluent gave livestock. The ultimate sacrifice was a lamb, unblemished in any way. God sent His Son Jesus to be God's sacrifice for the sin of the world. No other was good enough . Jesus was without sin and unblemished in any way. He was the only sacrifice God could give for the sin of the world. If you believe this and can accept this, you too can become saved and spend eternity with Him.

God is holy, perfectly morally pure. Jesus never sinned, never did anything wrong. He took my sins into His body, which was then killed, punished. As a believer, I can enter into God's realm as long as I am cloaked in Jesus Christ. We all can, we are told to believe the Word of God. "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." As we believe and obey God's Word (the Bible, (also all His creation)) he cleans us. This is true. The mechanical interpretations are mind-blowing, but thru Jesus, understand that God gave us all He could to prove His love to each and every one of us. He didn't kill Himself, but killed the human manifestation of Himself. God is more than we are. Yes there was always forgiveness, now we have real kinship with Him, He makes us Jesus Jr's.

Jesus was son of god .We are also sons and daughters of god.
Jesus was preaching the right way to live. Those who were against his preachings were the ones who killed him. So symbolically it is said that people who do not accept or go by the teachings of Jesus are akin to his killers. we commit many sins knowingly and un knowingly. Sinners were the cause of Jesus death. So to prevent us from repeating the sins we are told
Jesus died for our sins.

The theory goes something like, Adam and eve created "original sin" so the whole human race are sinful and therefore can not get into heaven. Then along comes the son of god who sacrifices himself for us and bingo we are all saved if we accept him as our savior.! Don't try and figure it out any further or you'll end up as a secular humanist like me!

Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy. If the wages of the sin was death, what do you think happens to you if you are spitting on the cross....
