when will we see a real chinese kung fu master venture in the mma ring?

They will never, they're too scare and they know it will expose Kung Fu as a useless arts. So they need to protect their incomes.

There are too many rules in MMA, in a real fight without weapons, only man to man or woman, the chinese kung fu master would win. Many people would say, eye poking, biting, hair pulling is cowardly, even Bruce Lee said that these methods should only be used in certain situations, not to be used the whole fight. Thats why a lot of submissions work in MMA, if these moves were allowed, fights would be a lot more realistic. In pride fighting, you cant throw elbows either, and in the UFC you cant kick a guy in the head while he is on the ground. All these rules take away a kung fu masters true abilities, but at the same time we need these rules in MMA to prevent serious injuries.

Jason Delucia, who was is a kung fu master, fought in UFC in the early years (where he did ok but wasn't very successful against Royce Gracie) and had a long not too bad career in Japan's Pancrase. He still used his kung fu style kicks and punches but mainly strayed away to adapt to real fighting with using the ground game for MMA.

They wouldn't dare as they would get destroyed and then everyone would know what their art truly was...nothing more than a flashy form of dancing.

Kung Fu artists have entered the MMA ring in the past, all were defeated soundly. Not a Chinese Kung Fu monk or anything, but the result would be the same.

my question to you is Why would they want to? there really wouldn't be necessary for one to do so.

The MMA is for the most part a sport, and sports are often about winning titles (title belts in this case), money, and endorsements and making a living, thereby making a name for yourself as a competitor.

Before you say that I'm knocking the MMA sports genre or sports in general, because I'm a fan of it myself and a huge sports nut.

I'm not but the main reason that these guys do it is to earn a living in this genre, through competition, just as many other Martial Artists have done by entering tournaments all over the world and make a name for themselves.

so while it may be possible (and an interesting change to see) that a Kung Fu practitioner may indeed enter a MMA competition, I would say that it's very unlikely that one would do so, because they would find it unnecessary to do so.

There is still a difference between doing demos and ground and pound. They don't think there is anything wrong with demos to raise money to feed the starving or build a new temple or get laser eye surgery for the old guy. As a matter of fact that has been done when the eathquake hit China. No need to ground and pound. They are quite capable to raise money.

The art of Gung fu,as well as karate, is not about winning tournaments, its about self control, and maintaining peace, through the pratice of using force only to stay alive and safe.

already been done ufc 4 i believe, kung fu got exposed just like all the others, cant do one style and be effective anymore, thats the beauty of mma

If they did they would disgrace their practice. Sure you will get some kung-fu practitioners try out but never a Shaolin Monk.
