Flea collars are no good and they are more trouble than they are worth, as they become toxic when wet. Also a lot of fleas are resistant to these collars.

Buy some Frontline from your vet and ask them for full information on how to use it. Then vaccum all areas your pet sleeps or lies around, and machine wash their bedding as this will kill the fleas and their eggs. Pay particular attention to warm areas such as underneath radiators, and ask your vet what would be the best powder or treatment available FOR YOUR HOME ONLY!!!! Do not put home flea treatment on your dog.

Give the Frontline time to work as you may still find fleas on your dog but this doesn't necessarily indicate a re-infestation, it can simply be fleas that have jumped from bedding/flooring back on to your dog.

Flea preventative is the only way to go. I live in the south, trust me. I use frontline, but there are other options out there. For immediate results, dip the dog. Adams flea dip is a good choice. This is not permanent though. If it is an inside animal, you really need the preventative. But but flea powder on your carpets don't vaccuum for a while, wash your sheets, and spray insecticide on your mattress.

Is the Frontline expired? in particular situations dogs gets some fleas and ticks whilst they're outdoors however the frontline will kill them. The flea or tick in simple terms has to return in touch with the dogs dermis to die. frontline plus will additionally kill any eggs on the dogs physique. in case you preserve it on each and every month, the fleas will die and so will the ticks.

You have to rid them not only from the dog but from your home, car, anywhere the dog has been. Yes, even your yard where fleas in warm weather can live in the grass.
