I have a maltepoo, who is supposedly around 8 weeks old, I haven't taken it to the vet yet because we just got her yesterday night and will take it to the vet tomorrow, but can someone tell me a quick way to make sure of its gender?

I'm a first time dog owner, and BOTH males and females have nipples. I found out it's a girl already, thanks everyone.

Look at the puppy's tummy. A male puppy has a tiny penis on the far end of his tum. A female puppy has a little thing right between her rear legs that's kind of, well, pointy. If you still can't tell, just wait till you see the vet and he can tell you.

Well if u check underneath, girl dogs really have pretty much nothing. But boy dogs they have stuff that you can really see. If you are really unsure and you need to know take her to the vet maybe if its cheap see if anything is wrong with her, just to be safe.

Turn the dog over on her/his back. Female dogs don't have anything, it's flat. Boys , er, you can see there's. If you still think something is wrong, go see a vet.

The female will have a flat tummy and a little opening at her backside just between her legs. A male obviously has a 'little man' just behind his tummy and testicles which are located between his legs.

Why don't you check if it has an.. umm.. what do you call that again..?? breasts..?? for like pets..?? maybe..? just check if it has breasts (for pets) or not..!!
