I hope you complain in writing to as many persons/bodies as possible. Companies, MPs, councils. They all need constant input.

complaints can be worthwhile, so long as they're directed to the right people! For instance, it may not be the bus company's fault that there is little or no service in a particular area, it's often the local council who decides where and when a bus route will be. Same quite probably goes for the rail network too. As for buses running late, step back and think about things a little. Buses stop and start every few hundred yards, passengers get off and on, the timetables only allow approx 1 minute for this to happen, what if you have 2 pushchairs, and half a dozen elderly people all wanting on? Takes longer than a minute for that to happen, result - you're already several minutes late to your next stop, this builds up over your route, then there's the traffic, and the 'so called' bus lanes! When did they suddenly get re-named car parks? I could go on, but it would get a bit boring...

YES.
Although you might only get a bland reply, the operator uses complaints as one of many tools to gague the effectiveness of their services.
But, please remember that some service disruptions are not the fault of the operator.
For example, a few days ago, a lorry was in collision with a taxi and a railway bridge in Edinburgh. The road was closed for hours while they cut out the taxi driver. Because the passage of trains could cause vibrations, the railway was also closed.
So both bus and rail services were disrupted and these effects were felt miles away.

Yes there is a point! Not enough people complain in this country and more of a fuss you make the more something gets done because they are sick of listening to you moan! It works.... I've written complaints, verbal you name it I've done it and eventually was awarded with some type of comepensation.... keep at it eventually something will change!

YES. If you don't complain the Operators (and the Local Authories who finance the services) will think everything is OK.
Keep making a nuisance of yourself, and encourage others to do the same.

no theres no point..what i would do is not look at the time table just stand at the bus stop ..and when it comes it comes...theres no point losing sleep about it...the bus and rail companies don't care about there passengers...so live with it or buy a car
