Any faith is real to the person believing it. People are not sheep and they can think for themselves. Asking this question would be the same as asking why not everyone drinks milk as it is the most natural thing there is (or something similar).

Well for one thing, many people think that Christianity is a very narrow minded belief system. They are in the opinion that you must obey certain rules and be "holy" in order to be a Christian. Also, Christianity is very against homosexuality. So many people may feel that Christianity is sort of like a guilt trip. That's why it isn't accepted by our society as readily, because it isn't as "openminded" as other religions such as Hinduism.
By saying "Christian" I mean Christianity that is of Apostolic faith (steadfast in the faith and teaching of the first apostles). I am not talking about "Christian" churches that now tolerate different lifestyles.

To non believers that question might seem incredible. It is founded on a 2000 year old scripture-many of its books are of unknown authorship and date, including the most important the four gospels. It's teachings are contradicted by science-e.g. Genesis and the creation. In all seriousness I would ask how can people possibly take such a belief system so seriously. From an intellectual viewpoint it is untenable.

I think in our world, as uncertain as it is, people are looking for answers. If they don't like what they hear they look for something else to better "fit" with their feelings. People these days seem to be more skeptical than ever plus I think they get mixed messages from the media, friends and even church. If they would just read the Bible and study the word I think they would find a lot of answers to their questions. Understanding the word takes time and effort. Many people want a quick fix to their problems.

no one says that the Christian faith isnt real
what they do say is that they doubt the authenticity of the bible
and quite rightly so .. we should question everything and if it doesnt make sense to us then we should leave it
people have different ideas , opinions and beliefs and every religion is true to the individual
how can you say christianity is the true religion when so many other people say the same about theirs
how does this add up ?
i do say this with respect though , each to their own but respect for others xx

What people fail to realise is that faith is the core. the bible is only a book. it did not come as a fax from heaven. it is only faith in that book that keep one going.
such is the case with all the other religions as well. if you have faith in some other religion then what is the issue?

because Christianity is incomplete and only tells half the story of human meaning and life, the new testament should not be in the Torah, the original Bible was complete the Christians added the new testament to the original Hebrew holy text.its like mixing the Quaran with the Bible, that's how outrageous the early church were

God had created the religion for the benefits of mankind but it is rather unfortunate for the followers to add in their own ideas, praying to the wrong idol creating something on their own.

People are inherently very skeptical. They won't believe it's the Antichrist, when he shows up. And when Jesus and the angels get back here, they'll think it's an alien invasion, and fight against them. Satan has well succeeded in deceiving the whole world.
